Not sure its a good idea to keep reading the data port like that. I'd read it into a variable once per iteration and refer to the variable. Also remember switches bounce.. so depending on the speed of the MCU it's possible that successive reads of the switch state may fluctuate at the moment of contact. Google 'switch debounce'.

Hi again! I am working on tm4c123g microcontroller and trying to send an sms using GSM900 module. In arduino, you have lot of libraries but not in Energia. Any ideas on how to use the UART to send and receive those AT commands? Tried some programs but not working. Please this is very important.

Hello, everyone. This is my first post here. I would like to discuss an idea with all of you.

As finding parking spaces becomes a problem in today's large cities, I am thinking of finding a way to collect the information of available spaces in each parking lot, and then send out this information through a server to mobile apps, so people use the app could quickly find available parking spaces.

A lot of parking lots are monitoring their available spaces, for those parking lots, I need to find a way to let them send out the information to a central server. Do you guys know which companies are providing this kind of system for parking lots to monitoring their available spaces? I would like to find a way that doesn't broke their existing systems.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Need a Battery backup Boosterpack for the launchpads !!! Here's my solution :)

NOTE : the min o/p of the module is 5v so either use this as a VIn through the USB or use 1117 regulator :)

hello,
I`ve just started this course(ut austin's course on edx).I`ve reached the 6th chapter . The course seems excellent,,I have a question though,,is it feasible  to buy the prescribed launchpad? ,, because when i contacted my college seniors and some people in this field ,, they said that Ti is awesome , but the main issue is that it`ll cost me a hell of a lot of money further on when i`ll be making high end projects, so they said that instead of buying a TI board i should buy atmel or arduino  etc,,  Please guide me,, will my 2000rs(cost of the board) go to drain ?

Ti has their own Peripheral Library , just download Tiva C Ware from ti
that has all the sample codes, Libraries and etc for both Win and Linux platform. You can download a TivaC specific version of can download all ti arm Launchpad version
