When I try to access comments for an article, it causes a black transparent shade but no comments to appear. You can see in the photo below. This is on the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium. U don't know if it affects other phones.

I receive and read the Guardian Minute every day. While I enjoy it, in articles there are often underlined words that imply that it's a link to an article; however, when I tap on them, I can't open the article. Help?

Hi Paul,

Thanks for informing us of the issue with the links. We have fixed this in the next beta version which we should be able to release in the next few days.

Thanks for getting in touch,

Gwyn

Please add an option to remove the Olympic section from my home page.

I really don't care about it, and resent having the top of the feed filled up with this.

Super. Can we also get a "Trump" filter at the same time?

On some articles, the Comments and Related Articles don't appear at the bottom of the article. If usually happens when I scroll very quickly to the end of article. I have to tap on the top right corner on the Comments counter to access the comments. Any ideas why this behaviour?

Hi Manos, thanks for highlighting this issue to us - we will take a look and try to replicate it.

It seems like it's intentional if there's an English translation underneath it but saw an Arabic article which I presume is the same as the English one below?

Yes guardian did this alot during the Arab Spring its an international news agency now makes certain people in the UK go batshit crazy seeing these which is highly entertaining

In the story below the one about snow on the right-hand side, there's a play control which seems visible without any headline or story information. Pressing play seems to give you some overlapping timing information.

It's this story: Politics Live podcast: what's good for Australia's economy?

These advertisements are incredibly intrusive.... wait, what? Oh.

Nothing blocking them either on this tablet or on my network.

In Australia (and with an Aussie IP)

It seems that landscape sizes don't display, while rectangular sizes do.

Feedback and ideas  -

Sorry to say, the daily alerts about Euro 2016 reports via the app - which appear to be classed as "breaking news" - have totally put me off using it. 2 friends have told me it caused them to uninstall, and I'm close to doing so.

Why ever does something which will happen daily not give the option to opt-out with a "never show alerts for this subject?" button? Alert/notifications should surely be a little better mannered than to ask the same question "Got a minute?" every day without taking no for an answer!

Hi Drew, I'm sorry to hear you've been having issues with the app. To fix this issue you can go to

Settings > Alerts > Series

And then click on the two checkboxes to turn off notifications for 'The Minute - Euro 2016'.

Incidentally, do you remember seeing a full screen pop up to do with The Euros recently when opening the app? Normally whenever we do these daily notifications we'll inform you in this manner (with the ability to opt-out) but if you didn't see it then we'll investigate why.

Guardian app 4.4 beta 670: Every time I open a new article an error message appears: "Google Play services has stopped" before it proceeds to open the article. If I try to report the error, it goes to Google Play rather than the Guardian devs.

Something is wrong with the latest beta...on the comments section of an article the replies to comments do not appear. I have to go back to the main page and tap on the article again to refresh the page and then they appear.

Also, I find it incredibly fiddly to respond to someone's reply on my comment. I have to manually scroll to find where I left a comment to reply to someone else's comment. When some articles have thousands of comments this makes it impossible.

Beta 4.7 build 761 is constantly blank screening and restarting, perhaps related to looking at the new comments drawer.

Now crashing or restarting whenever trying to read articles. Pretty much unusable.

Just had a page come up all washed out.

No sign of a pop-up, so I don't know what caused it. I do run Ad-block Plus, but don't know if that affects your app.

On restart the page displayed properly.

Hi Barry,

Thanks for letting us know about this. It looks like it's caused by the 'read' feature which greys out articles that have been read when they are on a front. We'll take a look and see if we can replicate it.

Announcements  -

Hi everyone,

We are aware of issues in 4.4.639-beta causing articles to not load and cause multiple crashes.

A new build has been pushed out, 4.4.641-beta which should resolve the issue.

Thanks for all the reports, it really is invaluable, and apologies for any inconvenience caused.
