The Moon - Not the best of moon captures but I was surprised at the handheld outcome with my #canonsx50hs - no processing except for a little crop.
Note to self: Never shy away from taking a shot since you think you are not good at that subject!

She asked for the moon
Somehow, all you need it a little bit of creativity and a dab of ingenuity. And with a simple off-camera flash you can reach for the moon.
It was the end of the day and Coyote Hills park, where we were doing our photo session, was closing for sunset. Or so we were told by the ranger. I was, however, not done with the concepts I had in mind. So we drove out and it is next to another parking lot that I set this up.
Can you figure it out?

I made a photo collage of what was visible for me of 27–28. Juli 2018 —* Total Lunar Eclipse. Missed the total phase...and it came up behind the mountain on 23.30 p.m.

Total lunar eclipses are also sometimes called Blood Moons because of the reddish-orange glow the Moon takes on during the eclipse.
On the day of the eclipse, the Full Moon is also at its farthest from the Earth, so it looks a little smaller in the sky, making this a Blood Micro Moon eclipse.
This time Mars was very close to the eclipsed Moon and easy to see with naked eyes, weather permitting.

Well, despite the best of intentions, I missed out on the lunar eclipse. Mornings really are not my thing I'm afraid. But when I walked outside after dinner tonight, the moon was just rising and looked so gorgeous I just had to get a shot. Then, just because I could, I decided to have a play with a moonscape. Its a composite image because of course the moon was just a large white blob to get enough light for the background and its just a bit of fun, but I think it turned out OK.

The idea of this composition was Sanjeebda. I was in his office this evening and discussing today's theme while he asked me to make such thing. It is not the first time he is bearing my torture.
