This goes under the heading of: Things I would have missed had I not been staring at the world through my lens ...
This tiny desert butterfly is called a "San Emigdio Blue" (Plebejus emigdionis) and its full wingspan is only about 1 cm at it's widest point. He was the dickens to catch (in a shot), too, because he was very active and would dash off as soon as I got near enough to catch him in macro ... ;oD
