Highlights from #TNTBootcamp - Influence Marketing Tools N' Techniques Today

In case you missed +Ronnie Bincer  and +Christine DeGraff on the bi-weekly show today, it was awesome on building your influence in your niche and finding the leaders in your niche.

Here are some highlights: 

1. An influencer has the ability to sway people in their niche. It takes time but you can establish yourself as one.

2. A great way to do it is to build a relationship with influencers in your niche. Maybe they will help you spread your message....but don't expect it. Just seek to help them. Build a friendship.

3. Make sure you identify what you want to be an influencer for.

4. Craft your content like the influencer do in hopes they may share, but again, don't expect anything in return. Just focus on building that friendship.

This is worth the watch!

Stay tuned in 2 weeks when they will discuss the tools to find the influencers in your niche!

*My takeaway from this the importance of identifying a concrete niche, finding the "go to" people and here and then it takes T-I-M-E to get to the point of being an influencer. Those in it for the long haul will reap the rewards!

People Who Rock: Christine DeGraff

I just sat in on the #TNTBootcamp  HOA with +Christine DeGraff, +Ronnie Bincer and +David Amerland. The topic was building influencer relationships via HOAs. Of course it was brilliant - these people are experts and are happy to share secrets, insight and tips on how to be influential and how to build relationships on G+.

I admit, I haven't sat in on a live HOA in a while. My days are usually so frazzled with my day job tasks that even taking 15-20 minutes to attend an HOA can mess with my to-do list. But today, I said "Screw it!" and took the time to listen and participate in the discussion. Because I genereally love what these people (influencers) have to say and I learn so much from them. They're very inspirational like that.

I added a comment that one way I like to build/cultivate relationships with influencers; by writing about them and interviewing them. +Christine DeGraff was kind enough to mention that in the HOA. Thanks girl!

During the segment, someone asked or the topic was brought around to "Is it considered sucking up?" I thought that was a valid point/question.

Christine was quick to point out that I reached out to her via email first (naturally, it's an interview after all, I am not just making up the answers!). I was also quick to point out that I'm NOT just doing this to suck up. If I was suck up, I'd stalk the hell out of these people, comment on everything they say/do, and +1 bomb them. I don't have the time for that. LOL

Anyways, if anybody reads the actual blog article (linked below), I actually explain my reasoning for wanting to write about others. +Christine DeGraff actually inspired me to embark on this series. Not just to become visible on the influencer's radar and in essence growing my own following here, but because I have personal goals of writing more, engaging more and basically eating my own dog food! Not to mention that I actually LOVE to meet new people and discuss mutual interests.

To make a long story short, Google+ is a MAGICAL place. I feel it really does bring the best out in people and gives us a platform in which to meet new people, connect (both personally and professionally) and build genuine, lasting relationships. I'm a real person who loves to be around other real people.

Basically, you really have to put way more effort into Google+ in order to expect to get anything back. This isn't just a place to dump links. This isn't just a place where you can expect to circle someone and +1 something they posted and expect anything significant. You have to put the time in; not only be present, but genuinely engage, add value and cultivate the relationships here beyond G+. 

In fact, it's only a matter of time before +Christine DeGraff and I meet. We live in the same state (NJ) after all!

Topic: The importance of having a conversion strategy and why you might need to find ways to generate traffic to your website without relying on Google Search

1:10 - Ana introduces her blog Traffic Generation Cafe - "Big Traffic Ideas for Small Marketing Budgets" (http://trafficgenerationcafe.com)

2:45 - All traffic to her blog is organic (not paid) traffic. Ana's advice is that one size doesn't fit all so just "pick one thing" and get started - see if it works for you.

5:30 - Ana talks about the importance of converting your website traffic from visitors to subscribers (or clients) and that having a "conversion strategy" should be your first priority before you focus on acquiring more traffic.

7:56 - If email marketing (list building) is your top priority, then you need a good email autoresponder.
