I didn’t want to start with the B&W project 2017 without having completed the 2016 one… 😃

Let’s get moving! Incorporate motion into your photograph - a moving subject, moving your camera (pan, zoom, rotate, etc.). Play with motion blur, multiple exposures, busy street scenes - anything goes, as long as it shows motion.

In photography, the term “natural frame” doesn’t necessarily mean a natural object. A natural frame can be a doorway, an archway – or the branches of a tree or the mouth of a cave. Simply put, a natural frame is anything you can use in lieu of one of those expensive wood frames. Using natural frames is a trick that will isolate your subject from the rest of the image, leading the viewer’s eyes straight to the place you want it to go.

Bonkle

Silly cat...

#bwproject2016  | Week 14/26 | My Favourite

An oldie, but selected purposefully. We're not sure, because disappearing for weeks at a time has always been her thing, but we don't think we'll be seeing Bonkle again. She's always loved the summer, and really would spend weeks away, but with the many health issues she has ...

Anyway, we've always said that this is the way we'd want her to go (if she IS away) - out hunting in the nearby meadows. This will always be my favourite shot of her, originally shared for the 'Black and White' theme in a Scavenger Hunt back in 2012.
