Add 6 tbs of brown sugar plus 1 tsp of yeast to a large bowl.Photo: Add 2 1/2 cups of warm water to the sugar mixer. Mix with a wooden spoon.Photo: Let yeast ferment for about 5-10 minutes in a draft free spot until it bubbles.Photo: Add 2 tbs of dried onion and 1 tbs of fresh diced garlic.Photo: Use enthusiastic children to stir in 5-7 cups of flour.Photo: Prepare pastry board with a good coating of flour.Photo: Place dough on board and knead for at least 10 minutes until the dough is nice and elastic.Photo: Slice dough into sections. Then roll out dough in between the board and your hand.Photo: Shape dough into pretzel forms.Photo: Make an egg wash. 2tbs of water plus one egg. Beat untilĀ  well mixed. Steal one of your husband's unused paint brushes to brush on egg wash.Photo: Choose your salt. I had sea salt, kosher salt, and pretzel salt on hand. Sprinkle onto pretzels.Photo: Bake at 450F for 20 minutes. Once the pretzels come out of the oven brush with melted butter.Photo: Dill and parsley from my garden smelled so good.Photo: This dressing is the bomb.
