Photo: I am just going to throw this out there,
Folks that do not like the change to G+ are not Morning people. In fact I believe that they wake in the morning only after an alarm, a shower, and a cup (or two) of caffeine down their gullets. And I also believe that they will eventually succumb to the 'caffeine' of experience in use with the new G+ platform and fall in love with it. Just do not try to tell them that now ;-)
BTW, the new look on an individual post has more information and when you hoover your mouse over someone's name or pix has their gallery pix added to it.
Photo: SOOC vs. Manipulated
Most of you have already made up your minds on/about the image manipulation debate. But to be honest, I flip flop faster then a teenager high on Mountain Dew. I do believe there is an argumentatal case for both sides. I love the beauty of a well made manipulated photo, but there is a need for factual reference with SOOC (Straight Out Of the Camera).
What do you think?
Also, critiques are welcome (hint, hint +Robin Griggs Wood) :D
BTW, if ya' haven't already circled Robin, do yourself a favor and go introduce yourself to her.
Photo: Yesterday we had a lively discussion (http://goo.gl/9UAFz) about SOOC (Straight Out Of Camera) vs. Manipulated photos and I really learned a lot from ya'll. Thanks!
So, I thought I would try the same thing today, but I will call this SOOC or After. The photo on the left is, of course, SOOC. And on the right is the After manipulation photo. Which do you prefer? Straight Out Of Chicken or Manipulated? Scrambled or Fried? ;-)
Photo: Chicks are always leaving things laying around. ;-)
I have been thinking about doing a small series of photos of chicken eggs. Sounds dumb, right? Well a couple of years ago I did even something dumber, a series of shots on a Red Radio Flyer wagon! There are a few shots still in my albums (yes, I have been on Google's photo sharing webaloosa long before G+) and some of those photos still haunt me today ;-)
Back to the eggs. I have a couple of ideas for a shot or two already. Do you guys do that? Premeditate your shots? If you do, and you are thinking eggs right now, what would you shoot an egg doing? Not that I would steal that idea or anything … :D
Photo: My Sis @ 2 years old
Hi, I am home. My Sis is still in the hospital recovering from her brain surgery. It will be awhile until we find out if there was any brain damage from the aneurysm that hemorrhaged. I really appreciate any prayers on her behalf. Speaking of which, I owe a debt of thanks to ;
