Photo: I work with dengue researchers. Today one of our researchers and myself laser cut dengue cookies. Dengue is a disease transmitted by the Aedes aegypti mosquito, often in urban areas. It affects 50-100 million people a year, and is endemic in more than 100 countries. And guess what? There's no easy diagnostic. With support from NIH, we are working on one. Stay tuned.
