Photo: This was taken at my 100 Day celebration. Back in the days I was born (1969), it was rare babies survived past 100 days after birth, so sadly, many parents didn't even name their babies until they were 100 days old.

If a baby survived, it was customary to have a special 100 Day Celebration. This was the photo taken of me on my special day.

My poor mother worked tirelessly to get my hair to sit down and look pretty like my older sisters did for her 100 Day photo. She was in a dress, had a ring on, a pretty barrette in her hair and just looked GORGEOUS!

I on the other hand looked more like Jabba the Hutt...especially with the nice spit bubble I sported along with my unique hairdo.

What can I say? I've always been a bit different.
