View southeast from the Eiffel Tower, down the Champ de Mars named after the Campus Martius (Mars Field) in Rome, a tribute to the Roman god of war, with the Tour Montparnasse (Montparnasse Tower) in the distance.

Even knowing stories like 'David & Goliath' and 'the turtle & the rabbit' I really don't want to go in competition with you +Charles Lupica. ;-)) But still, here's my favorite 'Dune of Pilat' picture, taken last Tuesday.

The Spanish Pyrenees are a brilliant place to discover the challenging sport of canyoning. The idea of canyoning is to follow a rushing mountain river downstream in any way possible: sliding, swimming, jumping, climbing... Because of esthetic reasons I will not post any pics of myself in a skinny wetsuit. :-) But I could not hold back this pic of the suits drying in the evening sun. By the way, Hugh Bradner who invented the first wetsuit in 1952 deserves in my eyes the nobel price posthumously. He saved my holiday. :-)

The country where you get a 50% discount at your fines if you pay them on the spot and in cash at the policeman. Don't expect a receipt. ;-)

I don't know what it is, but it seems I have a strange addiction. While most men are emotionally and sexually attracted to their cars, I have something with towers. I hope this isn't too much of a freud thing. :-) Anyway, here's another beauty I bumped into, accidently or not...Photo: #travelphotography   #mountainmonday   #cloudclub   #cloudscape

In CloudsPhoto: Selfoss, one of my hotspots of Iceland, a waterfall on the river Jökulsá á Fjöllum in the north of Iceland. The river drops over a number of waterfalls over about 30 km before flowing into Öxarfjörður, a bay of the Arctic Sea. The river originates as melt water from the glacier Vatnajökull.Photo: Taquile - Island hopping at Lago Titicaca, a lake in the Andes on the border of Peru and Bolivia . No cars here, everything happens by feet. And when the shoes are worn out, the soles can still serve as a gate hinge. ;-)Photo: Trail of AdventurePhoto: Driving through a very unearthly piece of Iceland. Not surprisingly Tolkien found his inspiration for his books in this part of the world...
