Photo: Van Cleef & Arpels, traditionally inspired by the world of dance and ballet, will join from May 5th to 10th 2012 the famous Bolshoi Theater in Moscow for five performances of “Jewels”, the ballet by George Balanchine, inspired by the creations of the Maison.

The ballet Jewels was created thanks to the chance encounter of two great men, both dedicated to emotion and beauty.
Claude Arpels had been living in New York since 1939 when he met the famous choreographer and co-founder of the New York City Ballet Georges Balanchine, through a mutual friend, the violinist Nathan Milstein. Thus, April 1967 in New York marked the premiere of Jewels ballet.
