Too small? Too narrow? Too German?Photo: Interesting.Photo: I spoke to my mum on the phone and she reported that Washington was unseasonably wonderful, blue, and warm on St. Patrick's day. Well, today is a lovely warm day in Berlin as well. Face! At $600 out-the-door, I would prefer to stick with awesome-but-cheap bikes like the Bianchi Pista, the Specialized Langsters, the Surly Steamroller full bike, and maybe something else. Anyway, Craig Childers asked so I thought he -- and you -- deserved an answer.Photo: Guten Morgen BerlinPhoto: Here is an article I stumbled upon in an English-language article here in a Berlin Mitte coffee cafe by my friend and upstairs neighbor the exceedingly lovely Miss Giulia Pines!Photo: Artikel von Giulia PinesPhoto: "Dem Deutshen Volke"Photo: Poor Johnny Wolfskin probably doesn't know what's happening to their sales because TNF is mopping up in Berlin, Germany, especially with their new store in Alexanderplatz.Photo: Outside of airports and train stations, it is illegal for stores to open on Sunday. Very illegal. It is sort of a national controversy. That's why the seasonal Sunday opening for Easter shopping is sort of a big deal and why they have dead sexy ads such as this one celebrating the "21. März, 13-18 Uhr" event.Photo: Im Alten Europa in Berlin-Mitte, EuropaPhoto: En route to Brunch on S-BahnPhoto: Simon-Dach-Straße, Friedrichshain, Berlin, DEPhoto: Weinladen means Wine ShopPhoto: Papierhandtuch mit Werbung im Café Vianova in BerlinPhoto: In der S7 bis OlympiastadionPhoto: Guten Morgen Berlin!Photo: My Goethe-Institut Berlin ClassroomPhoto: Hackescher Markt mit Fernsehturm  Photo: "I am a foreigner and I don't speak German well."Photo: Hackescher Markt S-Bahn in BerlinPhoto: The Spree, the Bahnhof, and the ICE TrainPhoto: Hauptbahnhof with Bicycle TouristsPhoto: Die Hauptbahnhof und die Brücke in BerlinPhoto: Berlin-Mitte mit die SpreePhoto: Thanks to Chris Abraham for being the mule who smuggled in the awesome rockstar beamer!Photo: This Filson small tin cloth duffel it my overnight bag and it has even a Barbour coat, a bottle of Scotch (as gift) etcPhoto: Arlanda-ExpressPhoto: Sweden Living Up to Positive StereotypingPhoto: Walking Around Stockholm!Photo: Jag är I Stockholm!Photo: Sverige är Jätte Fint!Photo: Stockholm Sverige!Photo: Stockholm Slowly DefrostsPhoto: My Pretty Little Villa Källhagen RoomPhoto: The Swedish Vasa BoatPhoto: Carlsberg. I quite love the color and the removal of the "&" and the boldness and the power and the asymmetrical nature of its tilt. Let me know what you think? What is your impression?Photo: The weather is magnificent but I really don't want it to get too warm as I prefer the coolness of Spring and Autumn.Photo: Rosenthalerstr, Torstr, BrunnenstrPhoto: Traveling with My Bike in BerlinPhoto: Dinner and a Movie with Lovely SarahPhoto: Can I Have a Farrari 599 for Easter?Photo: Hurrah for the Shameless German Commercialism of Easter!Photo: Jörg Wichmann is the businessman behind the Berlinomat here at Berlin-Hauptbahnhof and I troubled him to come to the train station on a Sunday because I thought I ordered something that was not delivered. If I knew more German I would have realized that the machine told me the order did not go through and that I did not incur a charge. Well, anyway, I want to do a story on him, hopefully for AdAge Global Ideas, if they'll have me.Photo: Jörg Wichmann is the businessman behind the Berlinomat here at Berlin-Hauptbahnhof and I troubled him to come to the train station on a Sunday because I thought I ordered something that was not delivered. "You dirty Crobag" is entirely conceivable as a deeply-insulting slurs, right?Photo: Since is it now Easter weekend on Thursday, it is effectively Friday night already here in Berlin, Germany.Photo: Hello Right Now from Leinestraße U-Bahn PlatformPhoto: Berlin Buddy BearsPhoto: I Did Get the Most Important Thing Done Today: Nespresso Pods from KaDeWePhoto: A Berlin specialty!Photo: Finished it. Now, finally, they sorted it all out and have delivered a gorgeous, slippery, and sporty auto. Bravo, Bavaria, bravo, BMW (I have myself a 2001 e39 530 BMW I love and adore).Photo: It writes like a dream: fine, gel, blue, smooth. Trying to fortify myself with coffee and calm myself with some Stieg Larsson (RIP) and maybe activate a UK SIM. Maybe not. Should have done that before coming. Oh well. All went well.Photo: I arrived super-early and paid £5 to get a priority pass from an air hostess sitting on a bench around the gates. Very odd but I scored an exit row and have plenty of space this time. I should have bought several. Oh well. I don't fancy RyanAir.com anyway.Photo: I like London; ich liebe BerlinPhoto: Taking the S-Bahn to and from Shönefeld is a pain in my bum so I am loaded on the local regional train to Berlin-Hauptbahnhof, my home station, with zero transfers -- so, hopefully is all work smoothly and swimmingly -- the train is already "zwanzig Minuten" late, which is terribly un-German. Looking forward to sleeping in my own bed, though my hotel was very nice. By the way, it costs the same fare to go from Flughaven Berlin-Shönefeld to Berlin-Hauptbahnhof via DB Regional with zero transfers as it does to take the S-Bahn to Ostkreutz and then transfer once to get to Hbf: €2.80: toll!Photo: Is that my soul?
