Prep time:  15-20 minutes
Cook time:  10-12 minutes
Makes 26

Ingredients:
100g unsalted butter, softened
100g caster sugar
1 medium egg
100g golden syrup
375g self raising flour
25g Bournville Cocoa Powder
100g Cadbury Dairy Milk
1 Cadbury Crunchie , crushed
Ribbon for threading (red, white and blue)

Method:
1.	Preheat oven to Gas 4, 180 C and grease 3 baking sheets.
2.	Place butter and sugar into a bowl  and beat together until pale and creamy.  Beat in the egg and syrup, then add the flour and cocoa to make a soft dough.
3.	Turn out onto a lightly floured board and knead until smooth.  Roll out to a thickness of 1cm and cut into rounds, approx. 6cm in diameter, using a cutter.  Make a hole in the top with a skewer for a ribbon to thread through. Place onto the baking sheets with enough space around to allow a little spreading.
4.	Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes until lightly browned.  Cool on a wire rack.
5.	Melt the Cadbury Dairy Milk pieces in a bowl over simmering water and spread onto the biscuits, top with crushed Cadbury Crunchie and leave to set.  Thread enough ribbon through to fit over the head and tie it off so that the biscuits resemble medals.
