Photo: "Fluted"

Shot on Day 1 of the video documentary for aFeinberg Galleries. After picking up +Preston Palmer with Brovado Media and we drove up Waimea Canyon to the Kalalau Overlook and descended Kalepa Ridge...an epic hike that takes you to a spit of land that divides Kalalau and Honopu. Needless to say it offers incredible views.

This was shot just before sunset as the sun was preparing to pop out below the cloud line so it wasnt direct light but instead this bright filtered super sexy light. I isolated this ridges on the north side of the valley as they seemed to jump right out at me.

Look for the documentary to drop June 2012!

Thanks all!

Photo: "Lower Ho'opi'i III"

While shooting for aFein Docu (June 2012) we spent a good bit of time at Ho'opi'i Falls, both upper and lower. They are both spectacular but the lower offers and amazing amount of composition possibilities with it's cascade type falls. Here is one more intimate take on the area.

Thanks!

Photo: "All Hala's Eve"

Ok, so I had fun with that title. :P

Taken on the last day of shooting with Brovado Media for the aFein Docu. The plan was to hike to the first Na Pali overlook about .5miles in...yea, that spot ain't what it used to be. So next move...quickly...sun was fading...scoot down the trail and hopefully find another vantage point to shoot from. Luckily there was. Of course then starts the rain, but just the light kind. The combination of misty air and setting sun made for some pretty epic light and the hike back much more rewarding :)

Thanks!

I love bamboo forests. I also love looking up in them and hearing them talk in the wind.
