Photo: Into The Light

Love is like a friendship caught on fire. In the beginning a flame, very pretty, often hot and fierce, but still only light and flickering. As love grows older, our hearts mature and our love becomes as coals, deep-burning and unquenchable.

I guess you all recognize the beautiful +Lorena Masi in the water. Thanks for letting me use your picture for this piece of work.

Photo: Shipwreck

Night and a starless sky,
Ship on wild billows tost,
With tattered sails and opening seams,
And deck bestrewn with falling beams,
Swift plunging to her doom.

Red lightnings round her flash,
Loud thunders crash and roar,
And the noble vessel mounts the crest
Of the reeking waves, then sinks to rest
Mid carnival of woe.

The Petrel soars aloft,
Wailing her hymn of death,
And the dirge like sounds pierce the blackened sky,
While the crew send forth one anguished cry,
Sinking to lowest depth.

Some ships go out to sea
That never more return,
Souls that from heaven in infancy come,
Tarnished and ruined by sin may become,
Like the Dove to the Ark they never return,
But sink as ship to doom.

This is a re-edit of an older picture that I personally like a lot.

Photo: Coming Home –– The Duckwalk

There's no feeling like coming home after a longer absence. You see the familiar city skyline come into sight, the asphalt is burning under your feet, the sun warms your body, the birds in the sky welcome you and your best friend is tagging along... What more do you need? :)
