My problems with it?
1. It's DSL. DSL has always been a spotty service. It's old, no one wants it. Go away. I didn't even switch from 56k to DSL. Why? Because it SUCKED and it still sucks.
2. They lied. Plain and simple. ATT has begun lying to its customers. Did a friend refer you to the Uverse service? Make sure you are getting the REAL service. Not the crap they sold you 10 years ago.
3. They let me sign up with the premium package but never told me buying the primo pack would actually cause problems. They have no idea what distance you are from the node when you buy it. So you'll pay for a technician to come out and tell you, "Hey, dumbass, you can't get the primo pack! You live too far away!" You'll also be paying for that primo pack during the time you used it.
4. The non-primo pack. Well, let's just say I had less problems on 56k. Images took forever to load but at least they loaded. Youtube? Forget it. You'll wait for ages for something to load only to get a DNS error or some other random error no one has encountered since 2003.
The one reason I'd even consider staying with them at this point? Customer service. The technicians who came out here did not call me a dumbass or even infer it. The people I spoke to over the phone were knowledgeable and helpful (minus one.) That's my send-off to you. You've had great customer support.
Time to move on to what I hate the most, Comcast. Seriously? This is the best Houston can do? I'll rant about being "forced" to send them my SSN another day. We all love being treated like deadbeats on the first handshake.
Final note, I'm going Poor Richard in a 3D motif for the graphic because that's the state of affairs inside the city.
