Photo: It was a beautiful Saturday in Houston and my daughter and I decided to head to our favorite store Walmart. I heard that they were offering beauty consultations at this location and was excited to learn more!Photo: My little girl can never pass up nail polish. This display was calling her name.Photo: I found her! This was Lena and she was ready and excited to give me a full consultation. First she asked lots of questions to see what I was looking for, what I needed help with and my lifestyle. She seemed to really relate to me and knew exactly what I needed!Photo: I was so impressed by this cleaning kit! It turns out I had been using the wrong cleaner for my skin type. This Olay Fresh Effects came with a brush and cleaner for under $13. SOLD!Photo: I was even more excited to see it came with batteries!Photo: Next question was about keeping my skin bright. She suggested Olay Regenerist and had a sample for me to try. Having that sample is what sold me!Photo: Just from the box I would not have thought it was the right one for me. But once I felt it on my skin I knew I wanted it!Photo: I told her that I work from home and most days I wear very little if any makeup. She suggested the Olay BB Cream for light coverage. Again, she had a tester so I could see and feel the difference. It actually was like a drink for my skin. Plus this way we could match up the color that I needed.Photo: The CoverGirl 3in1 Foundation was what she recommended for when I do leave the house. It is full coverage but lightweight. She had a sample and I discovered that I needed a lighter shade than what I would have bought on my own. Again I love the testers!Photo: We started discussing my droppy eyes. She had ideas to make them POP!Photo: She had lots of great tips for my eyes. This store was out of the right shade for me but I took note so that I could find it at another store. I loved that she didn't try to get me to buy a different color just because it was avaliable. She really cared.Photo: Last up I wanted something fun. I asked her to show me something I could change up quickly that would be cute and stylish. She took me to the CoverGirl Outlast Nail Polish.Photo: She suggested these colors andsay they are really "IN" right now. My daughter choose 2 purple shades. Our consultant even went above to tell me about me about a new look of 2 colors that is hot this spring. COOL!Photo: As an added bonus I literally ran into a dear blogging friend of mine who was there to get her beauty scoop too!Photo: I was all set to feel pretty!Photo: When got home and looked at my sad collection of daily supplies I was so excited to replace them with new products that were right for my skin.Photo: I set up all of my new items and started tring them out!Photo: I tried all the new items and even did the new nail design that she suggested to me. My husband saw me and said I had a glow. He even said I looked like the day we married! AWWW!Photo: So guess what we did? We went out on a date!Photo: No kids on this date!Photo: I felt like a million bucks. No one new I just bought a few inexpensive items to update my daily routine. I am so thankful for Lena (the bauty consultant) for showing me how to feel pretty again! *Disclosure: I am a member of the Collective Bias® Social Fabric® Community.
