This goes right along with the idea of free trade that I have been explaining to people for a while now. Yes some people lose jobs in the short term but in the long run they go back to school, whatever level of education is next for them, and end up living at a higher standard of living than before. The people taking the manufacturing jobs most likely used to practice subsistence farming and therefore also begin to live with a higher stand of living. Oh yeah, this is from the NYT.
