Food Excellent Decor Good Service Excellent - It's hard to write about Le Gavroche - as the genesis of fine dining in London, without it, we'd all probably be eating spaghetti hoops on toast. A roster of some of the hottest global chefs graduated from the kitchens. Gordon Ramsay, Marcus Wareing, the list goes on but with that history comes a great deal of weight from the past. The decor - well, if it wasn't Le Gavroche would be classed as eye warping terrible. The atmosphere is subdued, old world sophisticated. The service is psychically impeccable. There are some things in life you have to try once. The double cheese souffle is definitely one of them. Followed up with a fast jog round Hyde Park to stop your arteries getting clogged up, mind. The mains are equally good - you'll want to lick the plate clean if you opt for the veal with mushroom sauce. Just cover your head with a napkin before you do. And the desserts. Time for another lap in the park... So, you'll end up with a lighter wallet and a heavier stomach digesting one of the best meals you'll get in London.
