- I like Harpoon's beers. Not equally, but they're good examples of a scaled up American craft brewery. Nice tasting room. They're good citizens in the community as well.

- Visited Jacob Wirth because of the reviews I saw on Beer Advocate. But although the beer selection is substantially better than you'll find at other area bars, it's not up to what I would consider real beer bar status. They had some decent Californian beers on tap, with a European contingent headed by Aventinus. Bar is old school but otherwise unexceptional if long. Service was a tick above average. All in all, a decent place to get a better quality beer in the area, but probably not a destination for the beer lover.

- Big fan of Reid. It's got two big beaches, a lagoon with warmer water for kids, a 2 mile walking trail and is the quintessential Maine coastline. It doesn't get quite as busy as Popham, even in the summer, so it's a little more fun and less crowded. In the winter, it's a popular snowshoeing / xcountry skiing destination. All in all, a great State Park.

- The special beers are solid, but my fish tacos were so so. And had fish bones in them. Still, a lot of my friends love this place, so give it the benefit of the doubt.

- Liked it, didn't love it. One of the better beer bars I've been to in Boston, though its selection is heavily American with a much lighter European influence than you'll see elsewhere. They'll also slant the taplist with tap takeovers: when I was in it was heavily Stone and Victory. Food was average to above average, but relatively pricey for the quality. Interior is nice, but loud. Very little dampening. Bar is three sides of a rectangle and comfortable. All in all, a very solid beer bar to visit in Boston.

- Location is convenient; right across the street from the Rue Neuve, and maybe a 10 minute walk from the Grand Place neighborhood. The staff was perfectly friendly, spoke english and reasonably helpful. The building looks antiquated and unimpressive from the outside, but the rooms have been updated on the inside and were nice. The bed in particular was firm and large (king).

- The beer bar I go to when in SF. Good to great selection of beers, both domestic and global. Food's interesting if pricy. My only real issue is the size: it's not a big place, and it's usually full. Been by four times, had to take off twice for lack of room. Great place, though.

- Decent beer selection, and the food's excellent. Nothing fancy, but all well executed. Service has also always been good to me.

- It is what it is: a sports bar first, everything else second. The worst thing I'd say about it is that the food I've gotten there has been fairly average. Otherwise, I like this place. It's nice and new on the inside, the layout is very open, and being able to look through to Fenway on the back side of the venue is cool. Beer selection's not bad: they have Delirium to represent Belgium, along with some of the Harpoon specialty brews. Just big enough and far enough away from Fenway that you can occasionally get in for a pre-game beer even on a game day.
