This video is almost relaxing to watch. It's just someone driving down Yonge St in 1987 but what doesn't happen the entire drive is what is amazing. Despite numerous people walking across the street, right through traffic, as well as cars turning in front and immediately signaling to turn left, nobody freaked out. There was no road rage. There were no fist fights. Nobody stopped at the light and got out to scream at other drivers.
It's been so long I have forgotten what it was like to be in a decent society where you could say hi to a passing stranger without fear of being attacked.
Side not: As the car passed by the spot where the Aura now stands, I was trying to see if I might be there selling fake jewelry.
