Water, air and soil pollution causes 40 percent of deaths worldwide, Cornell research survey finds.http://www.news.cornell.edu/stories/2007/08/pollution-causes-40-percent-deaths-worldwide-study-finds

Without a serious effort to eliminate heavy pollution by coal fired plants (acid rain, millions of tons of mercury, arsenic sent into the air and causing birth defects, autism, etc), gas fracking, biofuel cars, ships, planes, trains, etc - we will not be successful in increasing the quality of human life.

While $100K EVs are a positive step, an even better step would be $25K EVs that you can actually drive out of town. But don't expect those from Porsche, like ever.

We could all be kidding ourselves about Tesla’s success in the electric vehicle market. There are a few interesting facts to consider. Firstly, Tesla Inc will have plowed through over $10 billion dollars by the time 2017 is up. For all of that, there won’t be a single dollar in profits to show for it.

China electric car sales up 68% in August 2017 versus August 2016, reaching 55000 cars, compared to 14000 in USA in August 2017. China already has about 300 times more electric buses than USA. Moreover, in 2019 every local or foreign car maker in China has to produce at least 8% of cars electric, a requirement no nation has. China is on its way to 100% electrification, possibly ahead of many nations.
