My son was singing this as part of a medley at the O2 for a schools event. It's been rattling round my head since then.

Here's a Merlin tab (best I could come up with for Merlin tuned DGdd) for a Guitar tab for "Irish Dance #1", by Steven Campbell Bartlett.

This was right tricky until I figured out the song has a "boom-boom-and-boom-boom-and ..." rhythm going on.

To not lose the F# notes, I kept bass and melody (the paired) strings tuned to D and dd. To get my C notes, I changed the middle string from A tuning to G tuning.

There are a few F notes in the original tab. I decided to change those to alternative notes that I think work.

Give it a go and let us know what you think !
