Folks out at the Coon Dog Cemetery are enjoying sumptuous smoked hickory barbecue and mouthwatering Moon Pies amongst the the marked graves of 300 hunting dogs today. And that’s not all – there’s also a liars’ contest (yes, really) and something called buck dancing (aka clogging). Oh, and the cemetery is in the Muscle Shoals area and we know they have some swampers that have been known to pick a song or two (yes they do) so you can hear Bluegrass music as well.

Are you pushing people to change? I know I have…! It’s wiser to meet people where they are: in current culture. To understand current beliefs and behaviors so you can better help them change. What are your experiences? How can you meet people “where they are” before any change?

An article I wrote on how to Maximize Leadership by focusing on the people being led to boost the levels of Engagement.

"A leader can definitely be measured (and held accountable) for the levels of Employee Engagement within his or her team." and remember, “Leaders don’t create followers, they create more leaders”

If you manage ideas consciously, organizations can improve up to 17% per year, according to Robinson and Schroeder in “The Idea-Driven Organization”. 80 percent of the potential for performance improvement comes from front-line ideas. That means you need a bottom-up culture. How’s that for your organization?
