I have been thinking about the value of life and I thought does there really need to be an answer? The value of life may be to be clueless of what life actually is. Not knowing if there is a God and if there is life after death is kind of interesting. Lets pretend we know for fact God exist and for fact we know where we go after death; the world is different now that we know. There is no need to wonder about existence and try new ideas and learn from mistakes. Life may be about wondering about our existence, seeing how we react to suffering, and lying in your death bed thinking what path is man going down and knowing that you really don't know.
I originally wrote the following statement in a chatroom a few years ago, and I know it has since appeared elsewhere, so I can't take any credit for its originality.
Homosexuality is mother nature's way of dealing with an over crowded world.
Neither science or religion have proof as to why homosexuality exists. My idea is that homosexuality is a natural occurrence. Homosexuals do reproduce but at a lesser level. To prove my theory I would like to propose that a homosexual man and lesbian woman are placed on an island with no contact with the outside world. I would be interested to see that if a period of time, maybe a year, if the two people had found each other attractive so that they may have a child. The reason for this reproduction would be due to the continued existence of the species.

Crown of Creation? (a philosophical speculation)
The basic question: Could there exist some beings who are superior to us humans and if so how could we sense them. The question can be examined by way of analogy.
There exist in our world a hierarchy of of matter and life:
Atoms, molecules, single cell creatures, multi celled creatures, insects, mammals, simians, apes, ending with us humans who consider ourselves the Crown of Creation. There are no tangible beings above. One might of course point out to the existence gods, spirits, and angels, but they are not tangible . By tangible i mean something that can be sense either directly by our natural senses, or indirectly through our sensed when amplified by scientific apparatus
What I have in mind are not supernatural beings who by definition are out of the natural world, but rather something that might have naturally evolved to a degree that put it out of reach of our senses. In this context it would be helpful to draw an analogy with our relations with the living world. Many creatures can clearly sense our presence and make it part of their world. Most mammals, and birds, some lizards, and so on. They react to our presence by flight fight, or trusst.
The same cannot be said or say ants. A column of ant won’t turn back or rearrange its formation if I stand nearby. That despite the fact that ants of the same nest might have been trodden on by humans on countless occasions. There are many species of living creatures who are oblivious to our presence despite us having a big impact on their existence. Their senses
are not geared to identify humans specifically as a menace. Flies will sense movement as a threat and fly away but they cannot sense sense a person with a can of insecticide spray as a menace.
By way of analogy, could there be some beings whom our sense are not equipped to detect but whose actions affect us? Or to put it differently, could some events in mankind’s history be explained by the existence?
One objection to this speculation is that whilst ant cannot sense our presence as something that affects them, they are nevertheless share with us their biological building material. That obviously cannot be the case with any supreme beings. We would have sense them if they were biologically structured. However, intelligence does not have to be biological. Our senses do not detect the presence of an electronic command though its effect would be noticeable.
Nevertheless I believe that there is a fundamental difference with regard to the ability to sensing higher form of beings between us and say ants. It lies in our power of abstraction, our capability to go beyond the world of our senses and examine hypothetical situations. Since we can imagine supreme beings we can by implication have the capability to identify their footprints.
Since such footprints were never found (ignore the fantasies of Von Daniken), I believe that
At least in terms of Planet Earth and perhaps well beyond it, humans are indeed the Crown of Creation

I have been thinking about why people are homosexual and I think everyone is homosexual atleast at an extent. All people of the same sex can see atleast a slight beauty in each other. I know that a man is better looking than I because he may be physically fit, has a sharp hair cut, smooth face. All of my examples are things a women will find sexually attractive. I do not think those of the same sex have the same level of sexual desire for the same sex as compared to those of the opposite sex. Why would we have sexual desire for the same sex as we do you may ask? It is so we know what we are competing against. We need to see the same sex sexually so we can ask our self, "What is it they are doing that I am doing wrong?" or "Do I even have a chance to compete against this person?" The reason people actually have sex with the same sex is because they either can not win the lady/gentlemen or they biologically somehow have more attraction to the same sex than most.
Why I am a shaman and not a blind follower. Well, I suppose my intuition guided me more than most and I didn't blindly follow the herd. I learned through practise, assessed the effects of what I learnt and by doing improved on them. Because of this methodology I then discarded many toted practises.
Religion never became my anchor because if one followed the sayings it merely referred one inwards.

Death must have a purpose, else why would it exist?
The power that brought forth the big bang, used the laws of physics to create the Natural Order of evolution. Creation is evolution, evolution is creation.
The Natural Order of things is the Natural Order, it cannot be altered, accelerated or delayed, the Natural Order "is" the Natural Order.
The Natural Order cannot cause an event, the Natural Order is inclusive containing all. The purpose of the Natural Order is to cause to become . Everything that happens is the Natural Order. The Natural Order is the purpose for what happens w/o event. Events are contained in their beginnings and endings. The Natural Order never stops never ends . What's caused, created, started, stopped, organized, or ranked is the Natural Order. The Natural Order preceded the Big Bang.
In the ‘Power of Silence’, Castaneda refers to what I call the Natural Order as " Intent" and says intent is the force that changes and reorders or keeps them as they are. Sorcerers call "intent" the indescribable, the spirit, the abstract.
March 7th 2015 marked the 50th anniversary of the Pettus Bridge showdown, AKA Bloody Sunday. If the police had not attacked the marchers on national TV would LBJ still have signed the Civil Rights Act?
Bloody Sunday was part of the Natural Order.
God/the natural order/ intent; the power that brought forth the big bang, which used the laws of physics to create the Natural Order of evolution. Creation is evolution, evolution is creation.
If the survival of the fittest is truly natural selection then it follows that what becomes extinct is due to its inability to compete
Extinction and the survival of the fittest are the natural order.
The question that remains is: To what end?
Just one man's opinion, all I know for sure is that I don't know anything. Those who say that they know, do not know, those who say that they know the most, know the least.
I was watching the commercial for the remote phone cameras and got to thinking how all the thieves are white guys. No minorities or females. Just white guys. I suppose this is how it feels to be maltreated by society.
Hello, Folks. - Just a comment here. - I "believe" that the economic house of cards is going to "fall" soon. - When it does, you know this Internet stuff will be among the first things to "go." - Will "miss" it all. - I've had some very good interactions here, thanks to you. - Best to all. - (Hang in there!) -
I look upon human kind and all I can do is smile no matter how destructive or negative human kind may seem, for all I see is a consciousness lost within its own creation.....MG Naismith
Is true positive thinking, thinking that something that is lost is negative? Also, how many self-proclaimed positive people have a huge desire to escape this creation? I would think a true positive approach would be to assist in this consciousness finding itself again!!
