We do not assign the reading of Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment to kindergarten children, nor do we teach advanced engineering mathematics to first graders. A lengthy process of development and learning is necessary before children are ready to tackle sophisticated subjects. In a similar way, God gives us greater amounts of illumination as we respond to the light we have already received. (See 1 Peter 1:10-12 for insight into the importance phenomenon of progressive revelation).

Ready the Old Testament can be a frustrating experience. We find ourselves wishing that the stubborn Israelites would just obey God and turn away from idolatry, but they continue to ruin their own lives by refusing to learn from their experiences. Then we come to the realization that they remind us of ourselves. (Turn to Zechariah 1:2-6 to listen to God's Word to the Remnant who had returned to the land following the exile).

Continuous improvement requires continuous learning. Only the learning organization will, over the long haul, continue to grow. Paul provided the Colossian church with a marvelous insight into the concept of growth through learning. The same insight can work for any enterprise and is well worth our consideration. (Discover it in Colossians 1:9-10).

God used Jonah to bring about a radical reform. How did this happen? As we find out, we'll also discover a crucial principle!! Look at (2 Chronicles 34:1-35:27) and gain in learning

Often times we find ourselves thinking we know everything there is to know and that we have it all figures out but in reality our pride blocks us from truly growing in who we are to be or become in Christ!! For instance God wants you to have something you never had then you have to be willing to do something you have never done!! God may want you to step out of comfort, and instantly you say I would but I can't cause of this or that, well God said to do it so step out in faith and do all things through Christ who strengthens us, you may say well you don't know my situation your right but I know my God and He is over every situation!! Stop making excuses for yourself or others and start living the way God wants you to live not in chains, not in bondage, not confined to your home, or a person!! Nothing Great Ever Happens If You Allow Your situation or Person to Control Your Walk With God, It means they are focusing on holding you back or your situation is holding you back from where God would have you.

God bless you all tonight, Your brother in Christ Jesus, Evangelist John Caleb

Integrity requires more than a commitment to itself. Many New Year's resolutions (and near scrapes with firings and indictments) have produced deep resolves within various individuals to live with integrity. Have you ever set your chin, focused your mind, closed your eyes and said, "I will live more consistently by my principles"?

Today let's work through Jesus' teaching on integrity in( Matthew 6:1-34) by making some observations and asking what they mean. A quick fix approach to this passage won't do. But some thoughtful understanding and application is s huge first step toward integrity. First, read verse 1.
What did Jesus tell us not to do?
Jesus warned against doing right things for wrong reasons-things such as trying to develop integrity only because it will advance our career or help us to close a deal. Jesus called people who practice this kind of morality "Hypocrites". Notice that He used the word three times in this passage (see vv..2,5,16). Three times people are cited for violating their integrity by doing something only for appearances. They did good things-but not for the reasons they wanted observers to think they were doing them.
Why did these hypocrites give (v. 2), pray (v.5), and fast (v.16)?

Because they were, in fact, hypocrites, what would be your guess about what would happen to those right behaviors if no one were watching?

How excited would you be about doing business with them?

So the essence of hypocrisy(lack of integrity) is public-dependent behavior. It is acting one way of people are watching but another when alone. Typically this isn't the kind of person most parents would want their children to marry; nor is this the kind of leader who inspires dedicated followers.

What, then, did Jesus suggest we do? Read verses 4, 6, and 17-18. Notice the statement repeated in all three verses. Jesus key to integrity is that His followers will live their lives by the standard of their unchanging, ever-present heavenly Father. Resist the temptation to dance to every vendors tune; instead, march to the steady beat set by our Almighty God. In fact, keeping the reward terminology in mind, read verses 19-21, where Jesus drove the point of the message home.

Integrity involves living by one standard and for the approval of one Judge. People come and go, and their standards are fickle. Trying to please all of them will at best drive you to distraction and at worst turn you into a Hypocrite. But God is unchanging and always present. Living for Him is foundational to integrity-and it reaps an eternal reward.

Today as you look at this teaching from our Lord which I've drawn out and broke down ask yourself are you raising a standard for yourself to serve with integrity or are you putting on s mask and acting the part instead of doing the part!!! Jesus is calling men and women to make a commitment to step into a relationship with Him and in order to have that relationship you have to be the same way in your home as you say you are in your church!! You want the reward that comes from God you have to know who He is in your home just as you know who He is in your church!! Gods calling will you answer with integrity or with a lack of integrity???

Proverbs 16:9 We should make plans-counting on God to direct us!! I have a pencil holder in my prayer room by my prayer chair, at least two dozen of all lengths and colors. It really amazes me that when I reach for a pencil I always seem to reach for the one that needs sharpening. More often than not, they all need sharpening. Sometimes I feel like those pencils, dull-pointed sticks with a bit of lead in them. I make excuses not to exercise, and waste time checking my e-mail a dozen times a day. I could be-should be-experiencing more of life: visiting museums, making new friends, volunteering, taking a walk, meeting new people, taking a class. Doing Things!! One day I decided to use my pencil holder as a reminder to get out more and enjoy the bigger things life has to offer. I taped the words "Get Out There" to the side of my pencil holder. Every time I look at it, it reminds me to make plans to do something outside my home. We often get caught up in routine and in out comfort zones to keeps us where we are but today God is wanting someone to know that there is more than your anxiety and comfort and the world needs to see the gifts God placed on you and you need to make plans to share those gifts with others in the world!! Get out there let God direct your path and stop holding back to the walks of comfort to find your real joy sharing God's love!! 1 John 4:7-8 Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love!! The apostle John affirms that God's love for us precedes our love for Him. God demonstrates His love for humanity in very tangible ways throughout the history of Israel, but He did so most fully and clearly in the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. This love may be defined as the steady intention of God's will for our highest good, and it is expressed, not only in words, but also in actions. "This is how God showed His love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him"(1 John 4:9). John tells us that those who have entered into The love of the father through His Son should naturally express this love in their relationships with others. In fact those who do not love the members of God's family should seriously question whether they really love God. There is a reciprocal relationship between loving God and loving people. Jesus gave us two commandments 1. To love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, and soul. 2. Love your neighbors as yourself. And if we follow these two we will actually follow the ten commandments. But there will be some that read this and go well your not loving your neighbor by telling them of sin or holding them accountable to that sin. But actually that is what we are to do to show that love because that tells me that someone truly loves me because they correct me and that's exactly what a good father does to show His love!! If we call ourselves Christians, followers of Jesus Christ we are accountable to that love and to His word.... If your holding yourself accountable to worldly standards you will find yourself tip toeing around the harsh truth of the word of God and trying to compromise to satisfy what you want it to say!! God doesn't change, He hasn't and His word hasn't, Jesus didn't come to abolish the law but to fulfill it and by His Grace we are saved and receive the correction!! I will also say this we are to be an example but we aren't setting an example to those who are ungodly and show lawlessness by staying quiet Jesus spoke up in love and corrected wrong behavior and actions and each born again believer is a saint a minister of the gospel and you have the same authority to stand up, speak up and correct that behavior and wrong doing!! When I read my Bible the apostles got tired of bad behavior and cast out demons in love and so should we, for to long non believers take our meanness for weakness because we don't want to offend people well that isn't what I learned or read because Jesus is offensive to the way people want to live and if we are His we will offend if we are truly doing our job it will offend the flesh which is wicked but I do it not to hurt anyone but because I love them to much to let them keep doing wrong actions!! Hebrews 6:13-15 When God made his promise to Abraham, since there was no one greater for him to swear by, he swore by Himself, saying, I will surely bless you and give you many descendants. And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised!! This passage tells us that there are two reasons why God's promises are certain: the "unchanging nature of His purpose and the fact that He cannot break His covenant. Thus, the only stable and unqualified ground of hope is the immutable character of God and the promises that flow out of His character. Many people have an ill-defined or unbiblical hope; they look to the world and not to the Lord as the foundation of their security and confidence. Such people, whether sooner or later, find that their feet are standing on shifting sand (see Matthew 7:24-27). Nevertheless as inhabitants of this world, it takes real courage to risk everything on the promises of God. At least those who hope in the world have something tangible and visible to bolster their confidence. But those who hope in God's promises are staking their lives on what is not seen and what is not yet. For in this hope we are saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not have, yet wait patiently for it (Romans 8:24-25). It takes no faith to believe that ten out of every ten people dies. In view of certain brevity of our earthly journey, and in light of the strong evidence for the resurrection of Jesus, our hope and trust in Him are not a leap in the dark, but a step into the light. Those who have taken this risk discover that this is the only firm and secure anchor for our soul!! Today I share this because as I waited in the tiny pre op room with my family and grandson and waiting patiently, I witnessed an elderly great grandmother of a young boy named Landon, she was in her 80's her granddaughter lives with her and is the mother of Landon, she had been there since 8 am walking that child in the circle unit over and over and as each pass her sad face embraced my eyes, as I waved at this 4 year old child who smiled each time. As I was praying God prompted me to walk out and talk with her. Landon's parents left for 6 hours leaving this bold women tired and stressed for her great grandson, I introduced myself and told her I was a minister and asked if I could pray for him, she smiled and said I would really appreciate that and for me as well. I did and she went on her way continuing to walk, with each pass me and my wife and kids would ask if we could help walk Landon so she could rest but she would smile and say no that's "I need the exercise anyway", I mention this because in that brief meeting on a day that would of never happened but by God's grace found its way that I saw God's strength in an elderly great grandmother who loved that young child more than herself to walk from 8 in the morning to well after 3 in the afternoon only stopping when I stopped her to talk and introduce myself!! After receiving the wonderful news of our grandchild we saw this elderly great grandmother again me and my wife gave her a hug and told her we was praying for her family and for Landon, she hugged us back and thanked us for sharing some time with her on her journey and looked at me and said faithfully I stand knowing the foundation on which I was raised!! Each day I am in awe of God, each day He teaches me that His grace is enough, and today I watched a women whom most would have written off, said couldn't do nothing, do the impossible that when her 20 year old granddaughter and husband left that loving great grandmother stepped up and marched all day worthy of honor for the love she shed in the sacrifice to please a 4 year old scared little boy!! Tonight I thank God for the miracle He did in my family, but I'm also thankful for showing me this lesson on love and sacrifice and that I was open to receive the lesson He was showing me!! You see for over 9 hours this women walked and never complained, she was tired and stress pierced her eyes at each glance but faithfully she marched on and when I asked to pray for Landon it fueled her more than myself her hope in the Lord was renewed and that is the unfailing Hope we have in Christ that when times seem to be their darkest Jesus comes along through the body to lift us up and helps encourage us along!! Ephesians 3:7-8 I became a servant of the gospel by the gift of God's grace given me through the working of His power!! Although I am less than the least of all the Lord's people, this grace was given me: to Preach to the Gentiles the boundless riches of Christ!! What was God's purpose when He created the universe? The short answer is, we don't really know. "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,' declares the Lord. 'As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts'"(Isaiah 55:8-9). "Now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known"(1 Corinthians 13:12). These passages highlight the huge knowledge gap between what God intends and what we know of God's intentions. Basically, the difference between God and human beings is greater than that between angels and insects. We simply do not have the capacity to grasp God's ultimate purpose in creating the cosmos. Scripture does, however, reveal fragments of God's purposes that relate to our lives in this world. God's eternal purposes reflect his perfect and eternal wisdom, and He has designed the world in such a way that we are most happy when God is glorified in our lives. For reasons that are incomprehensible to us, God has a passion for intimacy with His people, we participate in His eternal purposes when we pursue Him with an undivided heart!! Most of the time situation and hardships occur because our worship to God isn't there or off!! Romans 12:1 states Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God-this is your true and proper worship!! God won't bless lawlessness or ungodliness so if our worship is off then our relationship with God is off and we are in disobedience instead of obedience and God won't bless wrong doing!! Someone tonight needs this message and needs to know we can't play both sides we can't shine a light of God if we imitate the dark, we can't serve God and ourselves, one or the other its a commitment your either for God or against God!! If your for God you follow God and His word.... Or you serve yourself and deny God's blessings and promises in your life... We can't have it both ways, its a choice and we all have to make it, God or the World!! I picked this picture because it is my middle daughter sharing her report of her historical hero for a community school which she did on Jesus and how Jesus has sustained her through three open heart surgeries!! From you comes forth one who plots evil against the Lord, a wicked counselor (Nahum 1:11).

The New Jerusalem Bible says, "From you has emerged someone plotting evil against Yahweh, one of Belial's counsellors." Nahum is prophesying judgement against Nineveh and the Assyrian empire. The king of Assyria was actually plotting against the Lord. One translation says, "who is the king of yours who dares to plot against the Lord?"
This is the spirit of the antichrist. Psalms 2:2-3 says, "The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying, "Let us break Their bonds in pieces and cast away Their cords from us."
There you have it; the ultimate goal of Belial is to cast off restraint. The Church is a restraining force in the earth against the filth and ungodliness Belial desires to flood upon this earth.
The Amplified Bible says, "...and cast Their cords [of control] from us." These "kings of the earth" are the spirits of lawlessness and rebellion. While there is no law, people run wild.
America's entire judicial system was founded on the Judeo-Christian ethic found in the Bible. In other words, the Bible is the foundation of our legal system. A society that rejects the Bible as its moral authority will eventually have problems with its judicial system. Belial hates the restraining power of the Bible, the Holy Spirit, and the church. This is why he attacks them so viciously. Belial desires immorality and ungodliness to reign without any restraint. Belial is responsible for the attack upon our judicial system that we are experiencing today in America. Laws against Homosexuality, Lesbianism, Adultery, which were once a part of our legal code, are now being removed.
Homosexuals believe they have the right to live ungodly lifestyles. Many are clamoring , "leave me alone, let me do what I want. I Don't Want Any Preacher To Tell Me What Is Right Or Wrong." Others are asserting, "Give us separation of Church and State, but don't even realize that it was written to keep the state out of church affairs not the other way around!! Take prayer out of schools. This is all an attempt to cast off restraint.
Tonight you may ask Evangelist John Caleb why such a hard exhortation, my answer is I know who I am in Christ I know the authority I have and the anointing over me, I know that I'm doing my job as the Evangelist I'm called to be by the attacks the enemy has placed on me to block me at every turn, tonight a drunk man walked into my home threatened my wife and youngest daughter scaring them pretty bad, yet the Holy Spirit protected them and are safe!! So tonight I call us all to stand in the anointing God places on you to be who God says you are not this world and to godly proclaim Gods will not what we think it should be or even want it to be!! Gods word says let our yes be yes and no be no!! If we claim to be followers of Christ and stand on His word then we stand on all that it says period not just what makes us feel all warm and fuzzy or appeals to our ears yet doesn't cut to our heart!! You see the word of God encourages me, it teaches me, it directs me, but it rebukes me and corrects my thinking and my way to see God's way and in doing it God's way we see it is for our good and is not to hinder us or block us but it guides and protects us!! As you seek Him step into who He says you are and the more resistance you get keep seeking it shows your on the path to the calling on your life and the anointing God has placed on you!! God bless you all, your brother in Christ, Evangelist John Caleb

Deuteronomy 10:12-13 And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to Him, to love Him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with your soul, and to observe the Lord's commands and decrees that I am giving you today for Your own good!!! God's requirements in this passage relate to trust and the obedience that flows out of trust. Since our natural disposition is to trust in the visible rather than in what we can't see, we will engage in a spiritual conflict as long as we walk this earth. This conflict between the call to obedience and the lure of disobedience is well illustrated in the lives of the kings of Judah. Even the minority of kings who did what was right in God's sight struggled with the issue of obedience, and most of these men slipped into disobedience in the latter part of their lives. Whenever this slippage occurred, it happened because the kings decided to trust in something or someone other than the Lord. In one sense, God's requirements of us are quite simple: fear Him (respect not actual fear), love Him, serve Him, obey His commands. All these things are facets of a growing personal relationship with the God who has already demonstrated His unflinching commitment to our best interests. Note well the stated purpose behind the commands in this passage: They are For Your Own Good. The more we realize through experience that God always seeks our good, the more we will be willing to trust and obey Him in what He asks us to do and to avoid. Today reflect on this truth and yes it is hard I personally can say that in all I am there are times when I want to take control and think I can do things better I'm human I'm not perfect I make mistakes but I have learned through hard lessons when I trust in my own way I make wrong and very bad decisions, it's taken years of being stubborn to finally let go and follow God's ways in my life because His ways do want and do offer the best things for my good!! I'm not sure what it is your going through today or why you have to go through it but I do my my Lord and His love is unflinching and when you give all control to Him and love Him then His good and His favor is all around you protecting you and fighting on your behalf so this I do know always you can Trust in the Lord always for everything you face!!! Nehemiah 4:6 So we rebuilt the wall till all of it reached half its height, for the people worked with all their heart!! To be consistent, according to Hershey, Blanchard, and Johnson, a leader will accurately assess the circumstances and then do what the situation calls for. Consistent leaders don't always do the same thing. But consistent leaders consistently do the Right Thing-the thing the situation demands. Consistency means that followers can count on the leader to do what the situation calls for, not what the leader feels like doing. In "Leading Human Resources," the authors tells us that a leader must first identify the followers readiness or need and then and only then decide on their leadership style. Nehemiah demonstrated mastery of a wide spectrum of leadership skills in chapters 4-6. He encountered various forms of opposition to the work he was overseeing. But notice that he did not deal with all opposition in the same manner. Nehemiah demonstrated consistency in his leadership, not because he acted consistently, but because he consistently acted in s manner that addressed the situation at hand!! Today as I prayed and seen things develop in posts and just in my day an urgency has come over me to stand firm and to boldly say we need to take lessons from Nehemiah in our decisions and I will go further to say this if we consistently do the right thing then we will be saying exactly what God is saying to us and sharing it with others to encourage and lift up the church not posting things that would divide people from a Christian writer!! Today I stand as s leader that boldly proclaims that we are to be One together not tearing Gods people down or disclaiming their teachings!! So I asked you to be consistent leaders though we may not do the same thing we can agree to come together to do the Right thing every time and serve God and spread His word as One body together not allowing a spirit of division to cause us to attack our own and start agreeing as the Body and start getting back to the real importance why we share Jesus Christ saving lives stopping souls from going to Hell!! God bless you all today, Your brother in Christ Jesus, Evangelist John Caleb
