Very interesting double play sessions. First with the Jensen SAB-55 "A" in the living room where I was told George can help. Then I move on to the Kinect 360 camera and capture some interesting footage. Join me? Shall you?

My group conducted an investigation over the weekend at a private residence. We were using a MelMeter during the investigation and noticed random spikes in the EM reading. It would go from 0.5mG up to as far as 2.8mG for no apparent reason. There were only three areas in the home that showed consistent 0.0mG readings. The readings would fluctuate every few minutes and the meter was in a stationary position.

We put a TriField Natural EM Meter next to the MelMeter and the needle fluctuated a little, but nothing that couldn't be explained as background. This was true even when the MelMeter shot up to 2.8mG.

I took the MelMeter outside and walked around the home. The only time the meter showed anything besides 0.0mG is when I walked under the power line going to the house and the meter registered 1.0mG. For this reason, I'm fairly certain the meter was working properly and the readings inside weren't a malfunction.

One of our members is an electrician by trade and checked the wiring in the house. He said it was industry standard wiring (the clients had rewired the house a few years earlier) and that it shouldn't cause the kind of readings we were seeing.

My question is, has anyone out there experienced something similar? I've been investigating for over fifteen years and this is the first time I've seen EM readings fluctuate in this manner without finding a possible source. Thanks for any feedback!
