Beneath The Big Dipper
Cathedral Mountain lit by the moon, reflected on the clear waters of Lake O"Hara in Yoho National Park, British Columbia, Canada. This magic moonlit scene shows the landscape illuminated under the Big Dipper. A peaceful moment on a cold night at an amazing place.

Up, Up and away...Westjet Boeing 737 gently lifts off into a nice golden glow courtesy of the sunset. I was just leaving work but had to stop and get a few snaps of the setting sun which created this wonderful golden glow surrounding the planes as they landed and took to the air. A 2 image pano.

The clouds are always floating down into the Kootenay Valley and will weave in and out of the spruce and evergreens adding to the already spectacular views of the Rocky Mountains. Kootenay National Park.

A beauty of a sunset that colors the sky over Calgary. The Rocky Mountains did not stand out as much as I would have hoped, but it was such a wonderful colorful sunset that the sky is the star of the show! This is a 3 image pano taken at the Calgary Airport.

Considering flying down south just to catch some barrels this winter ? If your wallet doesn't allow it look no further than the Great Lakes. Summer month's you won't be able to find anything much bigger than a choppy 3-4 footer ( during a storm ) but if you wait it out, October through December produces some pretty wild storms and surf-able waves. Prints are available :) Support Local - MItchell Hubble www.mitchellhubble.com

When the winds are blowing strong from the west (typically Chinook winds), airplanes get diverted to land on runway 29. When this happens this allows for a great vantage point to photograph the airplanes coming in for a landing. I went out during the winter solstice and was able to catch the sun rising with a bit of a sunstar and also had a Westjet (got to keep it local) Boeing 737 fly over head for a landing.
