Join this COmmunity and be part of the FIRST of many tours:
31 Oct, 19:00 – 28 Nov, 12:00

November 2018 - a unique 4 week holiday to explore Uganda, including the opportunity to give something back by spending 13 days volunteering in the north eastern region of Teso. You will get to visit some of the most spectacular places in Africa such as the River Nile, Lake Victoria, Murchison Falls National Park and Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for wildlife tracking, Mabira Forest, Sipi Falls - and more......

But you will also be able to immerse yourself in rural, village life in Teso and get to know Ugandans: perhaps learn how to make peanut butter, plough with oxen, fish on the lakes and swamps; watch the sunset from high rocky outcrops and visit ancient rock paintings.

COULD THIS BE FOR YOU?

Yes – if you are concerned about……

• responsible tourism that minimises any possible negative impact on the environment and local communities
• any profits remaining within the communities to enable development
• trying to understand something of the history and culture, the issues and challenges of your host country
• time to make new friends in an atmosphere of giving and receiving whilst sharing some of your skills and experience with humility, openness and a willingness to learn
• not being extravagant in one of the poorest countries of the world where millions of people struggle every day to access clean water, health care and education
