We're changing the name!

In our most recent meeting, we decided not to use the parent group name of Lincoln Avenue Historical Society.

Additionally, we thought the name should reflect what the trail is, but not limit it to Chicago to allow the flexibility to expand to the full length of Lincoln Avenue.

Therefore we've decided the new name should be:

Lincoln Avenue Urban Trail

Happy Towel Day!

We have an Eagle Scout Project. A young man has taken it as his Eagle project to set up a website and record the audio/video guide for the trail.

He has set up http://lincolnavenueurbantrail.com as the website. It's a work in progress, but we are hoping for great things.

Had our first meeting of the Lincoln Avenue Historical Society [working name] by phone this week. We determined all efforts to reboot and then continue the trail will be done through the LAHS. We also discussed recruiting criteria and different levels of support.

If you would like to support our efforts in any small way let me know. Many hands make light work.

Our next meeting will be before the end of December.

Happy Halloween!
