My detailed guide on how to set up Google Authorship for multiple authors on Wordpress.com blogs.

How To Set Up Google Authorship on Wordpress.com Blogs with Multiple Authors.

Make sure your Wordpress theme has all author's names in bylines on their respective published articles. A byline looks like this: post by [Author's name] date and time, located at the near top or near bottom of the post. Check to enable if not or go here to get the workaround for displaying bylines for ONE AUTHOR http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/displaying-post-author-byline-for-pilcrow?replies=6#post-1116264

Make sure you are logged in to your Google+ Profile or Google+ Page.

Now open these websites in separate tabs:

A. Webmaster Tools Structured Data Testing Tool  - http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/richsnippets

B. Wordpress - your blog's Admin area

C. Google+ Developer page for Google+ badges - https://developers.google.com/+/web/badge/#person-badge

D. Your Google+ Profile or Google+ Page Profile Edit Page - http://plus.google.com

E. Google's Instructions on How to Link Your Google+ Profile using rel=author https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/2539557?hl=en

You may need a A small/quick word editor or sticky note on your desktop.

Go Step by Step with this in order:

1. Go to your Wordpress.com blog's Admin Area to USERS < My Profile

2. Scroll to Verified External Services and add External Service for Google. (This will not work for Google+ Pages, only Google+ Personal Profiles)

3. Scroll back up to save the profile

3. Repeat 1-3 for each author.

5. Still in USERS, go to Personal Settings.

6. Scroll down to Primary Blog and make sure the current website is the primary blog for each author.

7. Scroll to Account Details and put your current website as the website URL.

8. Save Changes then go to LINKS in the Admin Area.

9. Click on ALL LINKS, then check to see if there are any links you have pointed to other profiles on other websites and that they do not have your displayed author name as the Link Title. Also check that link and make sure you choose option "a web address of mine" so it has a "Me" tag for the link. I had an issue with my Tumblr blog as a link, I forgot it had my displayed author name as the Title of the Link, and this caused a conflict with the Google Authorship because the Structured Data Testing Tool tests for the first "rel-author" link and that's it, so my Tumblr for some reason had a "rel-author" tag for my Google profile.

10. Save any links you changed, then to SETTINGS in Admin Area < Sharing.

11. Connect your Google+ profile or Google+ Page if its not already. Make sure to select "Public" for posting published posts in the dialog box (if it comes up). This issue here would be if you don't check for "Public" posting, it will by default post to only "your circles" and thus be private posts. You can cannot more than one Google profiles here in the instance that its only ONE personal Google+ profile and multiple Google+ Pages. I have 2 Google+ pages and a Profile connected at the same time.

12. Before saving, scroll to the next area and connect your Google+ profile so that all your posts will be associated with it and a Google+ badge will be displayed at the end of your posts.

13. Now Save changes then go to APPEARANCE < WIDGETS. Determine where you want your Google+ badge to be displayed.
Select the TEXT widget, drag it to the sidebar widget area you want to display at, copy the Title and Body into it:

Title of Widget: Follow Us on Google+ (or whatever you want to say)
Text Widget body:

Follow [Author name] on Google+
<a href="[google+ profile vanity url or profile url]?rel=author" target="_blank">
<img src="https://ssl.gstatic.com/images/icons/gplus-32.png" border="2" style="border:2px solid black;max-width:100%;" alt="Google+ Badge Photo" />
</a>
<br><br>
Follow [Author name] on Google+
<a href="[profile vanity url or profile url]?rel=author" target="_blank">
<img src="https://ssl.gstatic.com/images/icons/gplus-32.png" border="2" style="border:2px solid black;max-width:100%;" alt="Google+ Badge Photo" />
</a>

Note: Go to the Google+ Developers page for Badges and select your appropriate image size. Copy and paste the URL for that image for the <img src> tag because we can only do HTML tags in Wordpress.com blogs.

Example:
Follow Quaisha A. Thornton (QT) on Google+
<a href="https://plus.google.com/108130017184917274204?rel=author" target="_blank">
<img src="https://ssl.gstatic.com/images/icons/gplus-32.png" border="2" style="border:2px solid black;max-width:100%;" alt="Google+ Badge Photo" />
</a>
<br><br>

[14]Continue for each author, then save the widget when you are done

[15]Go to your Google+ Profile or Google+ Page profile and edit the LINKS area.

[16]For Personal Profile Only - your links for Other Profile should only have urls to your author links or profile urls on other websites. In this case, your Wordpress author profile will be [url]/author/[username]. Add that custom link if its not already with the EXACT TITLE of your current website. You may have a connected site already linked, if you do, just make sure it has your current author profile url for wordpress and the Exact Title of the website. Don't save yet. Go to CONTRIBUTOR TO links. Add the custom link for your website url with the EXACT Title of your website, nothing else. It may already be there but if its not, add it. Then scroll down to the SAVE and save the changes. For Pages Only - At the very top, make sure your current website is the website URL. Scroll to LINKS, and just add the link of your website, nothing else. If its already there, make sure the url is correct and the title is EXACT. Click SAVE.

[17] Repeat Step 16for each author.

[18] Now Go to the Structured Data Testing Tool website.

[19]You'll see a field to put your website url in. Don't do it yet. See EXAMPLES tab right next to pane, and click Authors. You'll see an example of what the snippet and correct authorship looks like. Take a good look. Now input your own website url into the pane and click PREVIEW.

[20]Under Google Search Results it should display the snippet with your name associated with it. A little further down the page, you should see Authorship is working for this webpage. There are some options to verify too - Authorship by Email.

Problems with Google Authorship

If there are problems, which I ran into, you would have to know your way around all the pages I gave you in the beginning of this tutorial. If your snippet doesn't give your name, scroll down to see what the authorship testing result says. If it says there's another link with a "rel-author" tag but does not associate with your website and/or Google profile, you will show you how its bringing up this information. The information is gathered from your Wordpress homepage, and your Wordpress individual post and pages because it crawls the website. It then matches it to your Google+ profile. So start on your website first, then check your Google  profile/page. My issue was that my Tumblr blog was the first website the Testing Tool snipped and unfortunately it had the "rel-author" tag. I had to edit this and move the widget around so that it wouldn't be the first to be seen. Make sure your Google+ badges on your homepage and posts/pages are before your Links section (if you have other addresses that belong to you or other authors).

If you have any problems with this tutorial, please let me know in the comments or use the contact form and provide me with all the details, step-by-step and show me screen-shots of your issues. I am new to Google Authorship, but I have been at this for about 6 hours straight today and finally have a step-by-step method of doing this. I looked up a lot of websites and no one could give me a clear step-by-step instruction. I hope this helps you.
