Attn Cincinnati Area Golfers!

Love to play golf regularly? Are you looking for a great group of guys & gals to play with on Saturdays that play different area courses each weekend without the weekly commitment that comes with most organized golf leagues? If this sounds like something that appeals to you, you owe it to yourself to check out the Ohio Valley Golf Association (The OVGA). Our season tees off April the 9th and we have events setup through the end of September at all the best courses in the Cincinnati, Dayton & Northern Kentucky area. We are blessed to have many great courses here in the Tri-State and the OVGA hits most of them on an annual basis. An annual membership runs around $60 and our average event greensfee (w/carts) is around $53 so the OVGA offers tremendous value for your hard earned entertainment dollar. To find out more about the OVGA, click on link below...

I can tell you from personal experience that the OVGA is the most fun you will ever have on a golf course short of making the pro tour. If you expect to shoot less than a 105 on a par 72 layout, you can play in the OVGA. I average a 102 and they let me play despite being a member for over a decade!

Glenview gets some $$$ thrown its way for clubhouse improvements.  That course has always been pretty sweet.

Another course bites the dust, trading fairways for driveways.

Vista Verde was a short, inexpensive track.  I'll miss it for that reason.  Seems like all the short courses are drying up (this one, GE).  With Weatherwax closing, it seems like Pleasant Hills and Green Crest will be the courses to go to in the Liberty Township/Middletown area.

From the Hornets Fighting Cancer golf outing a few weeks ago.  The tournament raised $14,000 which means $7000 each to the families of Dominic and Madison, both fighting bone cancer.  It was only 50 degrees that day, and only 2 out of 4 of us were golfers. The cause was worth being cold, still having some drinks and shooting 4 over. I hope the outing becomes an annual thing.
