Hi everyone.

I am participating in ONL171 as an independent learner (no PBL group) as I am currently travelling, and not always online, so didn't want to jeopardise any group work.
I have worked in public & academic libraries in New Zealand for the past decade, and have particular interests in Professional Development for the library/information profession, and supporting distance/off-campus/online learners in higher edcucation.
I'm enjoying the diversity of posts, and people's reflections so far. I am looking forward to learning more, and learning more about people's experiences all around the world.

(Week One = based in Australia)

Hello everyone, we are happy to present to you members of PBL Group 9 :=)

After hearing Sara's webinar, it really made me think about filter bubbles and post truth or fake news.
Alistair made the interesting point that filter bubbles have always been part of our social networks and why shouldn't that approach to human interactions translate to the online environment.
My revelations were duck duck go!, a renewed interest in wikipedia and the wikipedia education program. Great resources, thanks +Sara Mörtsell and +Alastair Creelman

Hello everybody! I’m a late participant and will enjoy PBL-group 6. My name is Charlotte and I work as a ICT-educater at ‘Myndigheten för Samhällsskydd och Beredskap (MSB) Utbildningsenheten i Revinge’ / ‘Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency College Revinge’.

I support the teachers who educate firemen in fireprevention och rescue. We give basic education (two years) and further education. Students can choose between campus and distance learning. Both groups use blended learning; e-learning for theoretical parts and training att campus for practical parts.

As a ICT-educater I focus at E-Learning, learning design, formative assessment for learning - and learning in generally. I hope to learn more about e-learning by enjoying #ONL171 My blog is https://studyelearning.wordpress.com/

Hi everyone! Thanks for all your questions and comments during and after the webinar. I struggled to address them all so if you still have something you would like to ask about from the webinar then you can find me here during this week.

Here is, again, the link for Mike Caulfield's recent book about Web literacy, with a cc by license it qualifies as open content so see if you can find use and reuse for it. https://webliteracy.pressbooks.com/
