The first graders have been enjoying their first Library Story chapter book, the wonderful "Mr. Popper's Penguins" by Richard and Florence Atwater. The species of penguin is never mentioned in the book, but by combining the features described in the book, we have determined that the Poppers' penguins were adelie penguins, like these. They certainly look like they'd be fun to have around!
