Brooklyn author/illustrator will be at the Brooklyn Heights branch of the Brooklyn Public Library (now at 109 Remsen Street) this Saturday, November 5, at 2pm, to read from and discuss his picture books. The library promises fun for kids of all ages.

Happy Halloween! Need something to distract yourself before it's time to trick-or-treat? Go to Google; today's doodle is a kid-friendly game in which you help a cat rescue a (library?) book from ghosts. Warning--it's addictive!

We're famous! The organizers of the Irma Black award liked our kids' enthusiastic decoration of their ballots so much, they used our photograph on their website!

Our kids love voting! Here are just a few of the enthusiastically decorated ballots cast for the Irma Black award; the 3rd graders are just as excited about voting for the Cook Prize.  We can't wait to find out who the winners will be!
