How to get the bounds of the view in js exports function for Placeholder tag in iOS ?
Am creating custom UI and exporting in placeholder, but the UI widget constructor expects width and height, which needs to be equal to the one set in the view for the placeholder. How can I access this width and height set for the placeholder tag inside the function exported for creatingView?

Hi Guys!

I am enjoying starting developing on NativeScript. I am very impressed with the potential on this.

I am creating a view that basically is a small form with several different data components.
Anyone with a good example of an implementation of an ListPicker UI element?

Has anyone looked at fuse (fusetools.com). Very impressive indeed and I'd say a serious competitor to nativescript.

I especially like being able to create the UI automatically from designer delivered sketch prototypes.

I find the nativescript UI very painful.

And they have 2 threads. One for UI and another for javascript app logic.

Hi all,

I am struggling to get an Nativescript app working with HTTP calls with Microsoft .svc webservices that I already have.

What is the best HTTP module to work with this kind of windows webservices?

Anybody have a suggestion as to how I might configure my NativeScript app to perform some task (http Get data) every 30 minutes?  I'd like it to work even if the App is suspended.  Anybody doing this or have a guess?

Hi everybody.

Hi Nathanael,
I thought I'd like to give back to you for all your generous support so i bought your book. The big reason was because of the useful communications app that you create in the book.

I installed the app from github & am surprised at how easy the app is.

I have a question about how to improve on the timer polling of new messages. Would replacing this with push messaging be a good solution? Or do you have any other suggestions?

And once again fantastic work.
