After being somewhat of a forgotten child of Google, Google Sites is getting a revamp! Yeay! Use this a lot in school.

There is an early adopter programme so hoping through the GECI forums they can get me on there.

Will it be better? The press release suggests it will less technical.

Also wondering if anybody still visits this community.

Predictions for I/O 2016?

Obvious one is android N & VR.

Rumblings on the future of Chrome OS.. Will android take over and Chros be given to theOS community as some are speculating? Hard to see this with their education footprint in the US.

Some new devices on the way with clues too.

Hi folks,

As you might have seen, Google recently announced a new product called Expeditions. Expeditions allows teachers across the globe to take their classes on virtual field trips to places that a school bus could never go — museums, underwater, and even outer space!

The team are getting geared up for their next stops on the Pioneer Program and will be visiting schools in Ireland (greater Dublin area only) and Northern Ireland in mid-April. They will bring a complete Expeditions kit with everything teachers need to take their students on journeys to anywhere. The team will show teachers how Expeditions works and help set it up before class. The visit will last for one day and the kits won't be left with the school.

If it sounds like something your school, teachers and students would be interested in, please sign-up on the Expeditions website.

Screen monitoring software for Chromebooks?

Anyone have any experience. Netsupport seems to be the only option.

Strange Google hasn't implemented this as part of the management licence given that the technology already exists with Chrome remote desktop.

Asus Chromebook C202 - A step in the right direction for education!

Looks like ASUS have a partially modular chromebook on the way. Would love to see this go one further and have a system to clip on a new screen. It would make the laptops ultra serviceable.

Learning never stops
Dedicated educators are lifelong learners. With that in mind, Google designed free, online training for the classroom that helps educators do what they do best, even better.

Amazing stuff happening here @ #BETT2016

Hey googlers! If you are a Chromebook school and looking to use Arduino for student projects I came across a fantastic online IDE. You can program the boards directly from your Chromebook!
