Interesting, but realistically, for a store, not helpful. Would be better to track stats and orders, plus make updates to those orders from my phone without logging in through a web browser!

First off, I would like to say that I love the Squarespace design interface.  The only thing that I would see missing is the quick add links for RSS, live video, and live audio.

API for squarespace? REST or SOAP?  Anything?  Use case = calendar sync to internal events sharepoint calendar.  Easy for admin staff to update.  1 place.  Just need an API.

Hi Dion. Unfortunately Squarespace does not offer an API at this time.

+Edward Bridges I'm not sure if this has been addressed in this community or not, but I have a quick question.  Does the Squarespace Blog app work with the new Squarespace 7 framework?

Hi guys!

Well i want to tell a curious thing. A noticed some of my draft doesnt synchronized in the app i tried to refresh the post and then try a general synchronization, but it doesnt work. So i decided to logout of the app and then login again but again the problem was there. So i tried something i delete the caché and data of the app and signin again and all of my draft now are synchronized.

I know that this is the Blog app community and I have nothing but praise for it, but I was wondering if you guys are looking into bringing #Squarespace  #Metrics to #Android users as well. That would definitely complete the package. Keep up the great work! Glad to be supporting you with a yearly subscription :)

I noticed that when you try to add a link to selected text while editing a blog post, nothing happens. I tried it on single words, multiple words, and on actual typed out URLs.

+Edward Bridges I have a Nexus 5 and I'm running the version 4.4.4. It's the stock factory image from Google's developer/AOSP site.

First impression of blog for Android is a win. It's easy to use and not full of bloat.

Hi all - I'm using the Flatiron theme, and looking to reduce the width of each portfolio to be 33% (i.e., third of the screen, regardless of screensize)

Does anyone have any idea how to do this as a percentage? I've tried to use the Style Editor tool, but it isn't working as well with the screen sizes.

Thanks for any help you could provide,

Dan

I've noticed something since the last update or so. The sequence of events is:
1. I work on a blog post on my phone from the Blog app.
2. I finish the blog post on my laptop and publish it (SqSp 7)
3. I check the blog under my registered domain (katherine-hajer.com, not the katherine-hajer.squarespace.com "working domain"). The post is there; everything looks fine.
4. I refresh the blog app.
5. The blog entry reverts to Draft status, and all edits I made on my laptop are lost.

This is something I do all the time, and it's definitely a recent development. It's not consistent, but it is frequent -- I'd say at least 1 out of every 3 posts. Any ideas for how to work around it would be much appreciated!

I get teased by announcements that "Squarespace for android is now available" and find out its just for 2 very specific things. We nee more and better e-commerce tools, like stat tracking and order tracking apps!

Has anyone else been having problems with their Blog app? I get an error message when I try to save drafts or publish blog entries from my app!

Hi there:

I haven't really been active here since my initial questions and the couple of bugs I reported (long since fixed) were first noticed.

I just wanted to stop by to say thank you. The mobile blog manager is incredibly useful and looks great. One thing I've noticed myself doing is using it to look up and read old posts -- something I never would have done with my old blog's mobile editors.

I especially appreciate the web view, and that one can share and comment from it.

Thanks again.

Hello Squarespace users and devs!

Joined during the beta period and have been using the app for a few weeks now, wanted to wait until I had extensively used it to leave my feedback.

The app is visually stunning, functionally satisfying and tremendously useful as a concept for mobile site management.
Kudos to the entire dev team for creating a wonderful piece of software.

Only bugs I came across were:
1)Loss of text data when the phone went into sleep mode for a long time (~15 mins). This only happened once, but lost the entire 500 word contents of an article. Maybe I should have been more diligent with saving, but I probably shouldn't have to. Otherwise, I was reasonably confidant about undertaking long form blog posts from a mobile interface.

2) A blank out and semi refresh whenever I plug in my wireless keyboard. This is persistent, and happens every time the USB port engaged.

I know that issue is rare, but I hope that helps with improving an amazing app.

Moto G Gen 2 running stock 4.4.4.
Dell Wireless keyboard with Bluetooth connector to USB.

Hi +Cyrus Khan we've tried several different things to try and reproduce this, but have been unable.  Have you been able to reproduce on your end?

Squarespace is an iOS (Apple) interface. The website is accessible from Windows and Android-based systems, but the apps are all for iPhone, iPad, and iMac. The Android app for Squarespace is in beta, but it is not available for download yet. Here is the link to the beta page: http://blog.squarespace.com/blog/squarespace-for-android-now-in-beta
