Hello SuperYouFUN educators!  We will be having our first Twitter chat next Thursday evening, December 17th from 8-9 EST. This will be a perfect opportunity for all of us to connect and share the amazing SuperYouFUN happenings from our schools and classrooms.  In January, the invitation will be extended to a broader audience.  But for the first chat, we thought it would be beneficial (and a lot of FUN) to get to know our educator community.  Our superhero bond is the fire that will ignite this incredible movement to keep expanding.  It starts with all of us. Who's in? :)

We see we have a lot of new educators who have joined our community!  Please do introduce yourselves.  The more you make yourself known and share, the more benefits you will receive.  In the meantime, here is our latest video. Thousands of students, hundreds of teachers, and a lot of love went into its creation.  If you want your school to learn the dance, let us know! :)

On our third grade team we have linked our Professional Practice SMART goal to our implementation of the SuperYouFUN curriculum.  We created a survey to give the students at the beginning, middle and end of the year to use as evidence of growth with our students.  It's not a final product yet, but we excited about what we have come up with so far.  Enjoy!

Hello all! I am a new guidance counselor in the NYC DOE and after attending an election day workshop I new that I needed to bring the SuperYou program to my school! I am so excited to get started with it and bring my superhero to life!

I am a 5th grade teacher in Queens, and I am so looking forward to introducing the SuperYou curriculum to my school. I am having a meeting with my principal this week. Fingers crossed he is as excited about it as I am!

So psyched!!! Just finished writing a grant to get some iPads to help us implement the SuperYou Curriculum in our school. Keep fingers crossed! Already going over the lessons and thinking of more ways to integrate to technology so I can justify spearheading the program. The school psychologist told me she is on board to help implement it today too, Yay!!!

I am a Technology Integration Specialist for Plymouth Public Schools in Plymouth, MA. I teach at Federal Furnace Elementary School, grades K-5. As a school we have been working on integrating PBIS. However, we have been experiences some challenges, as negative behaviors seem to be on the increase. We have been lucky enough to partner with TLPI (the Trauma and Learning Policy Initiative) as part of a two year study we were selected to participate in. During this time consultants from TLPI will be meeting with us on a monthly basis to develop an action plan to deal with the challenges we have been experiencing while still striving to be a safe and supportive environment for all. One of the things that was discussed at our first meeting was having a variety of supports in place as part of being a trauma sensitive school. Interestingly enough the very next day I discovered SuperYouFUN when I attended the 2015 MassCUE conference at Gillette Stadium. After participating in a workshop led by fellow tech specialist, Nili Bartley, and SuperYou FUNdation creator and founder, Lourds Lane, I realized that I had stumbled across the perfect tool for our Trauma Sensitive School toolbox. I look forward to learning more about the program, connecting with other like minded educators, and implementing the SuperYou curriculum in our school.
