This week, I discuss the importance of native wildflowers in our yards and gardens and the establishment of my own perennial wildflower planting.
Photo source: Dennis Jarvis, flickr.com Like many of you, I’ve got the planting bug right now.  It’s still too early in my area to begin planting any annual fruits or vegetables in my garden, and my seedlings are still ha...

An estimated 573,000 birds die every year from wind turbines. What do you think would be the best solution to this problem?

Since methane gas has 20 times the potential than carbon dioxide as a greenhouse gas, we must capture this gas instead of releasing it into the atmosphere. One way this is being done today is by dairy farms trapping methane from cow manure and producing electricity.
Let me give a basic explanation of how they collect methane gas from cow manure. They collect and move the manure to a large lagoon. Most of the methanogenic bacteria are present in the manure. However, they can add more of these bacteria to speed up the anaerobic digestion of this organic waste. For the anaerobic process to occur, they must cover the lagoon with a nonporous cover. This biological process occurs in what is referred to as a methane digester. This captured methane gas is purified and is equivalent to natural gas which can be used to fire up electrical generators and produce all the electricity needed for the dairy farm. Any excess electricity is sold to the local power company.
In the thriller novel, Green Power, this is exactly what the protagonist does. However, when an epidemic breaks out pointing to the methane digesters as the cause, the safety of this alternate source of energy is questioned.

Sounds great, the tricky part is how to work out the manure stuff because the smell is no too fun to deal with but as far as  is good for the environment  will be a good try. Now, my vision it focused at how to be able to produce electricity out of a totally self sustained 'power house' near future and there was when I comes in with a mastermind envision of an 'EconoTorx GenSet' that will be able to produce in excess all the energy a building will require without the polluted fumes caused by the regular Gen-Set in the markets, not so healthy!  My 'EconoTorx' will be working on a *Electro-Hydraulics' scheme to accomplish the totally self-sustainable power generation green machine as never read nor see it or heared before since it only exist in thoughts as an intrinsic imaginary concept but with a great chance for supersede what it been done up to this point so far. I been trying hard to concreted before but as you know it is a real up climbing battle to realize it, no a piece of cake when there are the lack of working capital to overcome such challenges on the journey, not too easy!  But that's how the system is set-up they don't want it to make any easy for me or you and the many with new ideas on hold. But we never know probably or eventually something will give down the road...AllSet now for the moment, we stay put and stand-by for more to come our way and keep it kool good works!

In some places we can face natural disasters and there is a chance to face the power grid interruption. So, in such situations the solar system is the best option and in this way we can also save our monthly utility bills. To know more visit: http://www.phoenixsolarspecialists.com/

Let’s face the truth here – America’s electric grid infrastructure is in desperate need of a major upgrade, and as soon as possible. The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) reiterated this earlier this year when they graded the U.S. electrical grid a disconcerting D+ for 2013. Based on ASCE estimates, a national $3.6 trillion effort is needed by 2020 to vastly reduce the risk of transmission inefficiencies and costly power outages.
