Very practical advice.  The other thing we often say in Australia where it can get very hot is to arrive early to the interview but stay in the foyer out of sight and cool down there.  Then, present yourself ten minutes early. The last think you want to do is give an employer a moist, damp handshake.

Based on my experience, these stats are very true.  When I made my first significant career change, I had an amazingly astute friend who gave me invaluable advice.  Failing that, I think it means accessing a top notch career advisor.
