Understanding japanese writting systems.
Romaji: english term to write japanese words. e.g Genki desu ka?(how are you?) the words are pronounced the way its written.
hiraganaひらがな and katakana: main writting systems in japan. hiragana is the sounds with no meaning and katakana is the expression. e.g げんぎですか?(genki desu ka?)
kanji: each character has a meaning.

Beginner: If you have little tO Absolutly no experience in japanese you will start off wirh romaji.
intimediate: If you got the basic hellos and goodbyes or conversation starters. then you will be learning Hirigana and katakana . learning to create sentences, reading and writing.
Advanced: If you can use hiraganaひらがな and katakanaカタカナ. you will be learning kanji漢字.
