Banana PI is an Open Source hardware platform which was produced to run the open source OS among others. Banana PI a dual core, Android 4.2 product which is much better than the Raspberry Pi.

The Banana Pi hardware runs Android, Debian Linux, Ubuntu Linux, OpenSuse linux and images that run on the Raspberry Pi and Cubieboard.

Banana PI has a Gigabit Ethernet port and a SATA Socket. It can run with Android 4.2.2 smoothly. The size of Banana PI M1 is about the same size as a credit card,

It can easily run games as it supports 1080P high definition video output. The GPIO is compatible with Raspberry Pi and can run Raspberry Pi images directly.

I successfully installed Lubuntu Server on my cubie and swapped root to a 64Gb SSD disk. I also was able to run dist-upgrade taking it to 14.04.
Two questions remains:
1) it seems that after two weeks and updates on repos I don't get any update for my cubie (apt-get update gets repos refresh but apt-get say nothing to update..)
2) how can update my kernel (that is on nand), as it is yet at
Linux cubietruck 3.4.79 #6 SMP PREEMPT Fri Feb 14 23:58:54 CST 2014 armv7l armv7l armv7l GNU/Linux

Thanks in advance,

Does anyone has got the Cubietruck header layout?
