Through the partnership between MTWC and the Center on Education and Work (CEW) at UW-Madison, we are working to improve transportation occupations content and visibility on CareerLocker.

CareerLocker is a career development website designed to help youth and adults with career awareness, exploration, and planning. The website is offered as a subscription to school districts, technical colleges, and universities. Enhanced content on transportation occupations will also provide school counselors with increased knowledge of the transportation industry.

Attached below is a link to the CareersForward blog that CEW runs. There you can read about.....

For the month of June, the title was "Keep it MOOOVING Forward: June is National Dairy Month". The blog highlighted Heavy Truck Drivers and Diesel Technicians.

Each month, we will continue to highlight a few high-wage and high-demand occupations from the transportation industry, and will be working to improve and update the actual content for these occupations within the CareerLocker career development website.

Any suggestions for good content for any of these occupations are highly appreciated! (MTWC, along with CEW, will have to review any suggested content to decide if its appropriate and permissible for the purposes of the career development website).

Thank you!
