Hey all. Not sure how much this community is being used, but I've been doing worship audio for nearly 12 years now at Church of the Rock in Winnipeg, Canada. 6 years as a volunteer, another nearly 6 on staff. And it's been challenging and rewarding, and really fun at times. Thought I"d share the video I made where I followed myself around with my camera for a week.

Hey Live Sound Engineers!! Happy to join! I am a live sound engineer for a Fremont casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. We work on the Yamaha LS9-16 for most of our shows. I have one problem though. I want to clone a channel (so it has the same input signal), but when I do the input gain level, they are still connected to each other. For example if I clone channel 1's input to channel 18, the Eq's could be their own individual thing but the input gain is still connected to each other. Trying my best to explain my situation. Hope some of you can help!!

I'm not a copyright expert but I have a basic understanding of how things work and you should too! Here are some basic things you should know about copyright law in the USA. As a live sound engineer or volunteer you should be aware of this stuff.

The reason this comes up is because this week a clearly false copyright infringement claim has been issued against some content I created. The claim was issued through the YouTube claim filing system. The content in question was a video I created 4 years ago on the BigNate84 channel. Keep in mind this is video is 100% owned by me. As in I created all the theme music and background tracks in GarageBand as well as personally shot the video.

Because of how YouTube handles copyright claims I have to "dispute" this claim in order to keep earning revenue on the video in question. In the mean time the 3rd party who filed the claim gets to earn the revenue of the video in question. I'm 100% confident that things will work out in my favor but these are things you should be aware of as a live sound person and a content creator.
