Another question for the group...this one is on car charging with the MXPE.
My prior phone (MotoX¹) was used for GPS tracking, audio, and other items while in use on a motorcycle. A generic 2m/6 ft cable brings the power to the handset on the handlebars. With my MXPE, the small 12V to 5V DC/DC charger module (~15W output) to a USB A connector had no trouble keeping the MotoX¹ close to fully charged on long rides (12 hours or longer).
Does the MXPE pull that much power with all of those tasks functioning that it's not able to keep the phone well charged on a 8 hour ride? I started each day with >95%, and it was under 40% at the end of the ride. Screen use was cut back greatly after the 5 hour mark on today's ride.
If that's the case, then I may need to rethink the power source I'm using now - and figure out how to modify a cigar lighter charger that's a QuickCharge 2.0 compatible one to work in this application.
