It’s time to order a 2018 WISCAT license! A license remains $200 per calendar year, January-December for access to all WISCAT functionality. To learn more about WISCAT and place a license order, visit the linked WISCAT Licensing page.

Note the following differences in this year’s licensing process:

-Previously, an invoice would be mailed to you by the DPI business office after submitting the form. This year, the form auto-generates an invoice for you and sends it to the email address you provide. Please print your invoice and remit it with payment to the DPI address on the invoice.
-If you are purchasing multiple licenses at once, you will need to submit the form for each individual license. However, you may use one single check to cover all licenses.
-Entities representing a legally constituted county library AND acting as an ILL Clearinghouse qualify for alternative pricing, as in past years. If this applies to you, please contact us directly via email to place your order.

As in previous years, purchase orders cannot be accepted on DPI’s end, but if your business office requires one you may enter your purchase order number in the form for the convenience of your local business office.

Contact us if you have any questions regarding WISCAT licensing at dpirllill@dpi.wi.gov or 888.542.5543.

Here’s a recap of last week’s WISCAT user group meeting:

- The new link to the new WISCAT documentation folder was pushed out this afternoon to all staff accounts. You can see it listed as Documentation in the menu bar below the search box when logged into a staff account in WISCAT.
- The meeting recording and corresponding slides with notes can be found in the Documentation folder as User Group Meeting Recording and User Group Meeting Slides, as well as on the WISCAT DPI website (https://dpi.wi.gov/rl3/wiscat).

In the discussion part of the meeting, we were reminded to do the following:
- As a lender, make sure you update items to Check In when they are returned to you – that way requests can be completed and counted in your statistics as filled requests.
- Please be sure you’re including the appropriate paperwork with items, as both borrower and lender. Borrowers should return all paperwork sent with a loan.

Thanks! Please contact us with any questions at https://dpi.wi.gov/rl3/resources/resource-sharing/contact-us.

The Platteville Public Library Board would like to re-do the Director Evaluation form. Does anyone have a copy that they would be willing to share as an example? Thanks in advance!

This is awesome! Book dedications that thank Interlibrary Loan librarians by author Ann Leckie!

From "Ancillary sword":
Thanks to the St. Louis County Library, the Webster University Library, and the Municipal Library Consortium of St. Louis County.* And to all the folks who make Interlibrary Loan a reality. Seriously. Interlibrary Loan is the most amazing thing.*

From "Provenance":
I will always have a grateful shout-out for my local libraries: St Louis County Library, St Louis County Library Consortium, St. Louis Public Library, the Webster University Library, and University of Missouri St Louis' Thomas Jefferson Library. *And to all the Interlibrary Loans librarians out there--you rule. Libraries are a public good. They make the world a better place. Please support your local
libraries whatever way you can, even if it's just checking out books.*

Please join us on Wednesday, November 1, from 10am to 11am for a WISCAT user group meeting. We have scheduled an hour, but we may not need all of that time.

We announced at the last user group meeting back in July that we would be moving to a new web conferencing platform for our November meeting. While the new platform had some great features, we came to realize it also had some drawbacks that would likely cause access issues for many attendees. For that reason, we will be using our previous conferencing system, GlobalMeet.

We recently learned that in order to connect via computer audio in GlobalMeet, even just to listen in, you must have a microphone, whether it is built into your computer, externally connected, or part of a headset. If you don’t have a microphone you’ll need to connect using the toll-free call-in number or by requesting that GlobalMeet call your phone. With this knowledge we hope that you will find GlobalMeet to be easier to use. Find updated GlobalMeet instructions here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B43jKJz7P9BARVlzaWVaVlhTWFU/view.

No need to register, just click on the link below at the appropriate time. We will record the first part of the meeting and written notes of this content will be available as well. Any live demo or question/answer period will not be recorded.

Please let us know if there are topics you would like addressed at this meeting or any training you would like included. We will send out a reminder email prior to the meeting, along with agenda items.

"See" you then!

Does anyone need a room mate for the conference Wednesday night or need a room? I plan to pay on site for 1 room (assuming they have one) or today unless someone has an extra bed. I am getting reimbursed if I pay myself though so that would be better.
