This is my transducer bracket made from copper plumbing pipe. It has a butterfly nut to a carriage bolt attached to accessory track that Native has in Manta Ray. Takes second to loosen and remove. Goop sounded scary to me.

I needed to  get two yaks on my after market racks.  I opted to use a Electrical Strut cut in half to 5'. My racks have a track design enabling me to use a 5/16 x 1" carriage bolt to hold it on. Takes literally a couple minutes for me to put on with a ratchet.  For those who don't have a track grove. A u-bolt will suffice.  The oblong knock outs of a Strut are great for Ratchet Straps. These are available at Home Depot in North East or Electrical - Plumbing Supply. I used a B-1400-HS by Super Strut 1-5/8 x 3/4" x 10'. They are zinc. I've seen them out side for years with no rust. Cost around $16.00.

I took my dad to the Hubbard River on Fathers Day.  It was his first time to "really" take his yak out on the water.  At the end of the day he had a huge smile on his face and while he didn't catch anything he told me that it...

Hit the river for a few hrs.  Had a lot of pike, many follows and the ones that got away.  Nailed a nice LMB to boot.  Great day on the water!

Me and O' ended up with couple of 10 pound blues today. We were after Fluke (Flounder) only had 10 shorts. There was some Bunker (Manhaden) pods that we seen so I showed him how to snag one and let him go to be the slow guy in the bunch. It was fun paddling after him while he was being pulled around.

If you like a bargain. That's a sunny delight bottle mated to a 5 for 10 dollar l.e.d. light i got from Home Depot last fall. The bottle transfuses the light. It can be seen at least 1/2 mile at night and beats 50 dollars from kayak site.  The crate is a regular milk crate with the bottom of another cut off for a top. The rod holders being 1-1/2" pvc heated in the oven and flared with a bottle. All held together with tie straps and a bungees for turtleing at the surf.

Ok for you guys that do your own plumbing.  I through these together in about an hour for both yaks. The wheels to most small carts use a 1/2" dia. axle. Perfect for 1/2" copper plumbing pipe. The Manta Ray's scuppers fit perfect with 3/4" copper. I'm not gonna get technical with it cause if you do plumbing "You Make It Fit"  Have been using for a year with no problems. I just take it easy across the beach. Made them narrow so not to block the rod holders while on the water. Takes seconds to install into scuppers and off you go. Throw out that strap on cart!
