Can anyone tell me about the Oak St./Willow St. area? I'll being NOLA for French Quarter Fest and looking for local hangs. We discovered Freest St. last year, which was cool for Crescent City Comics and some quiet gourmet coffee places, and we finally made it out to the Maple Leaf for George Porter's amazing set of music, but didn't get a chance to explore the other businesses there. I'm told that Jimmy's Music Club became The Willow a couple of blocks away, not sure if Jimmy Anselmo still owns it. Is this area a good hang for out-of-towners who aren't totally green to the city? We'll also be going back to hang at Bullet's at least one night of our stay...
