OEE CFG: we are now a few members stronger, which will allow us to start addressing the potential discussions and protocols we can engage in to support your OEE projects.

Building off of this, is there anyone within the group who would be interested in volunteering for the following:

-having their project tuned (constructive feedback)

Or

-presenting a dilemma you can see coming your way that may challenge your OEE project

Or

-you have an unfinished idea that you would like the groups input/idea genaration support

Comment on the Page if you are willing? I would volunteer but i think it is best to model the facilitation role, so others can take their turn in the future.

Green regards.

Hi I am just back from a week long holiday at Sauble beach. Hot but nice in the water. I was pleased to see so many fish in the bay at Oliphant. I am still learning about current First Nation events so I can add this to my OEE project. I had an interesting visit to the Saugeen First Nation who are on reserve at Sauble. They host a Three Fires Pow Wow every year and are of Ojibway (Anishinabe) decent. I learned that the two main First Nations in Ontario are either Algonquian speaking or Iroquoian. I found out that the Mississauga in my school area are Ojibway decent. I hope to interest the school in building an outdoor talking circle with cement stumps ( look like wood) and outdoor drums. So I am hoping to reach out to the Mississaugas of the New Credit who have a reserve in Brant county and our local Credit River Métis council for ideas and appropriate uses.

Hello fellow Outdoorables!

Congrats on wrapping up a great course with Mark and Grant.

I am excited to see this group take shape as often the gap between PD idealism and actual reality at your school can be like this section of the Escarpment I took the other day in Niagara on the Lake, split and broken.

I look to CFG'S as a way to bring ideas into reality and to also use the valuable input of others to better execute ideas.

What can an OEE CFG do for you (beyond added another acronym to your life)?

What do you need?

I like your point about the gaps between idealism and classroom/school, Brendon. That's in large part why Grant structured the course around the practicalities of the project — bringing the realism to our admitted idealism.
When I face hard realities, I try to keep my ideal principles close — with the simplest question being “Ehat are the kids going to do?”
That being said, I need to keep my idealism well-stocked. So last night's new moon reflected in the pond helps.
